The milkshake was the best I’d ever had. The food was pretty good and great that it was open so late on the weekend.

First, to the positive points. I liked the atmosphere in the diner and the food was good and came in a timely fashion. The service was ok. BUT the diner was very dirty when I came in in the morning. One had to look around to find seating without old food on the floor, and the tables needed to be cleaned, too. I had to ask for the table to be wiped down because the waitress didn't notice the dirt. This dampened my experience, and while the food was good, I will not go there again.

Surprised by low ratings. I think it depends what you expect from this diner. We were in the mood for chicken and waffle, and peacock didn’t disappoint!

The burger was so delicious, cooked to perfection. The fries were well seasoned I didn't need to add any black pepper. Person who took the order was very friendly. Not a traditional restaurant where you have a designated server, but definitely worth a try if you want something quick, yummy, and not too crowded.

Our food was all pretty decent. My grilled cheese and fries were really good. My boyfriend had pancakes and eggs and didn’t care for the eggs. Everyone was super friendly, and the service was fairly fast.

They hired me to be a cook @$17 a hour due to my experience in the field.Didn't even get to work one day before they let me go stating that they had enough wait staff already but I was hired for cook. It's like the managers weren't speaking between each other cause how didn't all of them know I was a new hire? Then when I started asking questions I was met with oh well we can't have you only working 3 times a week but why not it's more than nothing!Anyways be careful if looking for employment at this location?

The Peacock diner is our Sunday brunch spot. Donna, Katie and gang not only delivery great service, but delicious food! The boulevard burger is ?, but lately the cinnamon roll pancakes have been my favorite meal of the week! And the specials are legit. The steak and eggs was my jam. Don't waste your time elsewhere!

Wandered in here on a Saturday evening before a Pageant show, because we had waited an hour elsewhere for food and decided to find a different place. By now, we were hangry and happy to find this place. It wasn't crowded at all, considering it was a Saturday night with a sold out Pageant show going on. You order at the register at the counter then seat yourself wherever. We sat at the bar. The manager was doing some restocking, etc., and was very friendly and fun to talk to. I had the classic cheeseburger and my husband had the boulevard burger. Both were excellent, but again, we were hangry, so take that FWIW. The burgers were cooked perfectly, the buns were toasted just right. I did ask for Swiss cheese and wound up with cheddar, but that was not a problem. The burger additions seemed fresh. The shoestring fries were deeeelicious as well. Not too crispy, not too soggy. We didn't wait long, maybe 15 minutes tops, to get the food. It was hot and fresh. Prices were reasonable and portions generous. When back down in the Loop for a show, we would definitely stop back in.

Visually interesting atmosphere. The food ordering process could be better by displaying the menu and options before reaching the register to pay. The food is decent, but the milkshake was sooooo yummy. One of the best milkshakes I've had. The staff is very friendly. I'd describe it as a Cool hangout spot.
