The bread they use is absolutely phenomenal. Both of our sandwiches were loaded with fresh toppings. The worker was very friendly and helpful for us first-timers, and we'll definitely be back! The addition of a Hi Chew candy is super fun, too.

Overpriced and the sandwich isn’t as good as other banh mi shops in Dallas. The buns weren’t crisp on outside and soft on the inside like they are supposed to be. The shop is on the smaller end so seating consists of large shared tables. Service was fast and friendly though.

Great banh mi’s. Friendly people. A bit pricy. I think $7-$8 is more reasonable.

Banh mi isn't that complicated, but much like "Philly cheese steak", many restaurants have no qualms just sticking this label on any loosely related sandwich. Not here. This is legit. Perfect bread, good selection of proteins on the menu, and nothing that shouldn't be there. And did I mention the perfect bread? If you're a fan of banh mi, this is where to get it.Parking: Always find free street parking a block up when I come for lunch.

We're not in the OC anymore, but The Banh Mi Shop is closest thing you can get in STL. The service is good and efficient, the space is cute, and the food was pretty good. I tried both the lemongrass chicken and the pate cha lua (pork ham). The chicken was extremely tender and the flavoring was solid; it wasn't too much or too little. One of my favorite comfort foods of all time is banh mi pate cha lua and I've consumed an ungodly amount from I-don't-even-know-how-many places over the years, and honestly, they delivered. The pate was creamy and not too dry (some places make it really meaty and it's actually too dry for my preference); the butter was well done. I appreciated that they had all the classic ingredients, allowed for simple modifications, and also had a bottle of their chili sauce at every table for dine-in. My fingers and toes are perpetually crossed that they'll consider selling their pate and butter. It's no OC pricing, but I'd honestly pay $$$ for a good banh mi around here so I'm pretty happy and will definitely be back.

Really delicious and authentic Banh mi's ! The service was friendly and efficient also which was nice! The shop has a whole in the wall feel and is still in the process of decorating/setup (there's a beautiful mural that is in progress!). The protein fillings were really good and the crispy fresh vegetables made the Banh Mi extra tasty - I'm excited to try more of their sandwiches! Overall a great spot for lunch - we really enjoyed our meals!

Was feeling like trying something new and I've never had a Banh Mi before, surprisingly. I ordered the lemongrass chicken to try and it was pretty good. The bread was fantastic, but I think I'm realizing that a lot of places don't use the highest quality chicken and it can be a weird, almost slick piece of flesh that just isn't good and adds nothing to a dish except a weird texture. I think I'd switch to tofu next time. Besides that the other ingredients were nice. I just felt like there wasn't a lot compared to the amount of bread. Also, not much of any sort of sauce. My boyfriend got some spring rolls and they were fine, I just wasn't a fan of their peanut sauce so I let him have my portion. Overall, not my favorite but not the worst. The takeout service was very kind though.

I would give The Banh Mi Shop 10 stars in each category if I could! The food is amazing and the owner and staff are extremely kind. They are always give us someting in addition to what we ordered such as a drink or some candy. I introduced my sons to spring rolls at this restaurant and they love them. This is one of our favorite places to eat in The Loop. Try it for yourself and you will not be disappointed.

I recommend this place. Nice bread for the band mis, fresh ingredients, a hard-working locally-owned small business.

Service was good, prices for the Bahn Mi were fair. the ambience was good. and the Bahn Mi that I had ordered was good. overall, I think 4 stars for overall good was a great rating. These days to be good in Food, Service, and Ambiance, with Fair Pricing, isn't something I come across too Often. I like this Place, and if in the area again, I would go back.

Staff was very friendly and helpful as I am not too familiar with vietnamese food. The space itself is small, but there is outdoor seating available. I went with the lemon chicken bahn mi (which was said to be the most traditional). It did not disappoint! Chicken was moist and flavorful and the bread, crispy! Highly reccomend for a great lunch in the loop!
