i’m giving this two star only because I have not made thedip mixes . planning on using those for the holidays .we travel through Baitesville two times per year and stay a week or more . we have driven by the Caramel factory many times over the last 6 years . we decided to finally stop.we spent 60.00# 1 sea salt fudge is exactly what it said total SEA SALT . put it out for the deers , a total salt lick . it’s horrible . Tossed in the garbage HORRID SALT .The chocolate fudge!! is horrid as well , hard and salty no fudge flavor , no sweet sugar tasted, in the garbage it went . The caramel corn only 3 bags on the shelf , we bought one , nothing to brag about , we could buy this at any grocery store . the cheese straws were just okay , I was new to this cheese straw stuff , but I would not buy it again . StarchyThe turtle brownies , yep ….the same … not good . toss away also .I guess we are spoiled from good caramel up north . when you walk into a candy shop / caramel shop you can smell the caramel and candy when you enter the shop. Not at the caramel factory . no candy smell at all . I should have figured that when I entered and had the thought “ I do not smell caramel or candy .you should smell caramel candy aroma .Some people have given good reviews , I guess our taste buds are different .we have been there and will never return to the caramel factory .hopefully my dip pkg will be better , I bought them for the holidays , i’m now thinking I will not use them for guests . I will go back to homemade .I hate giving a review like this , yet I’m tired of my money being waisted .cut downs since covid , pay more get less.

Caramel was excellant. Bought cake, turtle cookies, and turtle brownies. They all were great! Prices were reasonable.

This review is long overdue. I kept getting sidetracked, but it is better late than never!The quality of the treats in this location are amazing. I enjoyed stopping in and grabbing the turtle brownies, cookies, sweet/salty snacks, caramel cakes, and browsing the adorable gifts available in the store. I tried to purchase something new at each visit, and I enjoyed everything!Lets talk about the caramel cakes...oh my goodness. If you haven't tried these scrumptious cakes then you're missing out! They are fresh, moist, and extremely flavorful. The cake has a buttery flavor and nice texture, but the caramel icing is the star of this dessert. We relocated, and I miss visiting this shop. I recently ordered a container of the frosting to make a cake at home, and I was not disappointed.The staff was friendly and helpful when I had any questions. The store is always clean and inviting. I would highly recommend The Caramel Factory if you're in the Batesville area.

Caramel cake, fudge, cookies n cream, chocolate dipped Twinkies oh my my my! Everything is delectable! The brownie scraps are a bargain and WIN WIN! I'm sad they are closed til mid January, but a well deserved break after all that holiday baking!

Is there a better caramel cake than those from The Caramel Factory ?? ? Ummm, Nope!!Update 1 Week Later:Picked up my special order 10” Caramel cake today. It is for Christmas dinner tomorrow, and I am sure it will be almost as good as before. However, I am reducing my rating by 2 stars. When I arrived home and opened the cake box, I find that half the icing is pooled around the bottom because it had been applied to a very warm cake. The icing left, on the cake, was very thin. Considering the cost, plus an hour round trip, I am very disappointed. The 8” cakes, for sale and out on display, looked like their great cakes normally do. Had I known, I would much rather have had one of those. Better luck next time I guess.
