Stopped by on a Monday afternoon for a late lunch. I ordered the old fashion which was made with rye. An interesting change from my usual bourbon. My spouse had the margarita, which was very good. The fried green tomatoes are must. Just perfect. The seafood gumbo was tasty but served in a shallow bowl, which made for a small portion. The fried green tomatoes were AMAZING!! I could eat them all day every day. The rest of the meal was 'meh' at best. The Royal Reds dish visibly had a ton of spices, but the potatoes and corn were still bland. The ribeye... we ordered medium, and came out super rare. Went to the oyster bar but although there were people in there it looked like the oyster bar was cleaned up and no staff was there. Patrons told us to ask next door which we did and were told it was open. Sat down and ordered. Raw oysters were great! Cold and very clean. Even though it was before closing time we ended up being the last group in the place. Seemed the staff was very interested in closing down the place.
