Place had good soul food. Everything was fresh and hot. Cafeteria style and selection was good if limited to “soul food”. The staff was attentive and courtious. Their facilities were very dated from when building used to be another cafeteria. The wall paper peeling, the carpet worn through, paint peeling and not particularly clean.
Yes it did cost $17 and some change but I got it for $17. Gave the lady that fixed my to go plate the extra $3 out of the $20. It was a lunch bar with a meat section, sides section and salad bar. I had the baked fish I’m no longer a vegan after visiting here. I couldn’t resist the baked fish. It was too good but I’ll start back tomorrow ? it was delicious. Y’all better have some ? they also have dine in options but I was at work.

The Lunch Basket is the place to go. Their food is awesome and amazing, cooked with love, served with kindness. I had a chance to sit and talk with the owner and I must say he is a down to earth person that loves to see a smile on your face and a happy belly when you leave his establishment. They are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s between the hours of 11:00am to 6:00pm.
