The food not that good to have an attitude and roll you eyes at me after giving me my food. I'm Caribbean as well and for all my military folks this C class Caribbean food. I'm not going back! Go to the one out the Division street gate.

Never in my life have i been so heartbroken and distraught by services rendered by a restaurant. The absolute worst experience imaginable in my life was my story with this place. Giving them a 1star rating would be generous.

Had the jerk chicken special, food is reheated, not freshly prepared. Grilled chicken had good flavor, sauce was more of a bbq sauce and could have been omitted. Cabbage was well seasoned, beans and rice were fluffy and tasted good.

I must start off by saying that I was embarrassed that I brought a good friend from out of town here. He was tooooooo polite to say anything really negative. However, I know the cashier could see our disappointment. We both took most of our food to go. The same zest we came in with was not the disappointment we left with. I paid nearly $35 for Escovitch fish that is advertised with 3 sides that comes with only 2 sides. No seasoning in or on anything. Who cooks fish without at least salt and pepper? The only good thing was the picked veggies on top. The plantains were burnt and the cabbage lacked flavor. I took my fish home to season it and put it in the air fryer to try and salvage it. The fish itself didn't taste fresh but it wasn't spoiled either. The texture is as if it was defrosted in a microwave. Skin was spongy and rubbery when you dig into it not crisp. The Rasta pasta was better than the fish. But still not top notch. It taste like unseasoned Alfredo. My friend kept adding cheese and hot sauce. That's when I knew I had really messed up going there. There was noting jerk about the chicken on top of the pasta. I wanted to cry. I was just that embarrassed. Should have turned around when there was no other customers there on a Friday. This place is not as I remember (food wise as 3 years ago). 3 out of 10. I won't go again.

The food was okay the rice was dry I did have a little sauce off the chicken to eat with the rice, the cabbage was plain I had to add seasoning, the potato salad is a no for me had big chunks of potatoes in it no flavor just mustard & mayo, the jerk chicken was okay the chicken itself did taste like jerk chicken but the sauce did taste like a bbq sauce overall it tasted like bbq chicken not exactly what I’m used to when I want Caribbean food I have had better but it wasn’t nasty just didn’t taste like others, would I try again? Probably not…

It saddens me to even come here to review such an awesome looking place! Unfortunately, the food was NOT it. I was hoping for authentic Jamaican food! So disappointed. Our jerk tasted like honey barbecue?? & the brown stew tasted like similar to it, like a sweet molasses, the rice & peas were dry & the cabbage tasted like water w a hint of lawrys? The best part about our experience was the cashier. She was so sweet! However we did spend ~$30 on it so of course ate it & gave the rest to the dog ? he loved it the food wasn’t “terrible” but it was def not Jamaican ?
