We just left this restaurant, and we loved it, we had fried green tomatoes w/crawfish sauce, and turnip bites for appetizers. We also had the Mardi Gras entree. It was a lot of food and It was all delicious. Our sweet waitress Kaitlyn G. was wonderful and so respectful, truly a southern Belle. We are so glad we stopped in on our way back to Louisiana.

The turnip green bites are an absolute must order, even if you hate turnip greens. Their house mixed drinks are also great. We also enjoy the duck wontons and shrimp and grits.

A Saturday afternoon lunch. Food looked great but we had to wait for it to cool down before it was brought to us. To expensive for that BS. I left a good tip and won't be back unless it's for the lunch special.

GB really let me down last night. We only ordered appetizers Ave one steak (medium). It took 2 hours for the appetizers to come out. The server came out abs said we got everything but 2 things finished, we said bring out what you got age he says he can't. When he finally did bring it, everything was cold. The steak came out done, not medium. The manager made contact and basically said nothing could be done about it. Very bad experience

We have been eating at Georgia Blue since they opened. In years past, we frequented the Lakeland Drive location. My nieces were visiting from Missouri and have always loved Georgia blue, and since we now live in Crystal Springs, we decided to go to Brookhaven. The location is really cute. I've never seen a Georgia blue in a downtown storefront. The aesthetic inside is wonderful, especially if you love history and vintage things like we do. The hostess was very accommodating and super kind. Our server was attentive, but did not hover. She was friendly and when I asked her a question she did not know the answer to, offered to go ask the kitchen. We went at around 1230 on a Friday. It was not overly busy, but was peppered with tables here and there. Our food took an ordinate amount of time to get. That's not a big deal, we can handle that if we get good fresh food. My fried shrimp were warm and my sweet potato fries were room temperature. We had waited so long that I did not return them. Thankfully, not having piping hot food is not a dealbreaker for me, but I do like my food to be recently warm. The only person at the table who got really hot food was my niece that ordered the shrimp and grits. My vegetarian niece ordered pasta Alfredo and it was warm. Their friend ordered the smothered chicken, and while her chicken was a decent temperature, the mashed potatoes that it was a top of, we're barely warm. I cannot figure out for the life of me how you can wait so long for food and it not be hot. It's just a bit disappointing to spend $120 for lunch and leave thinking we would've enjoyed that more had the food been the right temperature. My husband and I will give it another try. I wished I could have given 4 stars but a long wait without hot food loses a star.

I had the blue plate special chicken the chicken was bland a little bit under cooked . Only had three other tables occupied. Not sure if I need try to find the drink descender my self or go get one from a vending machine. But under cooking does not pair well with ice. The place has so much potential. I keep going back every couple of months hoping that it has been fixed. But it seems like the money that the owner has invested in the cool atmosphere and training has been wasted. There has got to be a way to make this thing work.

This place is usually on point. Didn't have time to wait so we opted for the patio. Felt like we were forgotten. Took a while to get refills, took a while to get our food, no appetizer plates. Order house made chips and received fries. They did bring the chips after the error was noted. Just a bad experience on this visit. Then the check arrives and the gratuity was already on there!

Do you search the country for the greatest hamburger? So do I. I'm the same way with Shrimp and Grits when traveling in the South. This place has it. My compliments to the chef. Everyone in the town of Brookhaven, Mississippi probably already knows this but for the weary, hungry traveler you must stop here. This place takes comfort food to a new level.
