I've eaten at Monte's sporadically since 1998. Over those years, my meals have been overwhelming with his unique twist and consistency. Kudos to you, Monte! You are a superb, talented chef!!

I'm all for Small Business, even give some leeway, but this is was just mediocre at best. Server just refuse to write down drink orders and just give people random drinks when all I ask for is water. The food is was on a Table with no Sneeze Guard!! If you're gonna offer a buffet type atmosphere that the bare minimum for customers safety.

We were passing through and needed a sit down hot meal after traveling for 12 hours. We asked about the specials and the waitress gave them to us. However we failed to ask the price. The food was edible. But we were astonished when the check came….over $100! There were only two of us! Shocked to say the least. I don’t know if we’ll ever be back this way but we’ll steer clear of this place. It definitely wasn’t worth what it cost.

Never got a chance to enjoy the food. I waited for 25 plus minutes for to go food. I ended up asking for my funds back. There was one cook. I was really looking forward to the food. You can tell ownership has thrown in the towel.
Ordered my food 5 minutes after everyone else. By the time my food came everyone else was done eating. The restaurant was empty so I’m sure it wasn’t a matter of the staff being overwhelmed….Had to get my food boxed to go.
They need to update hours for Byram location they say 11am to 10 pm was just there at 1:50 pm and was turned away and told they close at 2pm.

The business hours need to be updated for the byram location. The hours on google says they are open 11am-10pm, but when my husband and I arrived around 4:20 they were not open. I called the number and was then informed they opened at 5pm. We waited until they opened. Once inside the setup was nice, the waitress was great and knowledgeable of the menu. I was looking for the voodoo steak I read about online but didnt see that on the menu. So, I ordered the seafood platter and my husband got the catfish platter. We also got the stuffed shrimp appetizer which was very delicious. The platters had a good size portion. Only complaint I had was the pasta tasted a little watery.

Amazing food & friendly staff. Tobi was our waiter & she is just amazing. There were two female waiters there tonight & both of them were very attentive to the guests & their tables. If you haven't been to Monte's Byram location ever or in awhile then I think you should give it a try. This is the place we frequent every year for our anniversary & occasionally go just for a date night.Great service, great atmosphere & the Voodoo Steak & Chicken Parmesan is simply amazing. Make sure you thank the chef as well. He is just a happy looking guy & done so good with our meal tonight.

On our way through Mississippi, we decided we'd like seafood for lunch. I did a search for somewhere near Jackson and Monte's popped up. So glad it did! The hostess/waitress was very nice and checked on us numerous times but, not too much. Great personality! The food was very good. The salad had a bit too much dressing for my taste but, my husband loved it. So, a matter of personal taste. I should have asked for it on the side like I normally do. My husband has said before that with condiments it's as though I wave the bottle over things instead of actually putting them on the food. The stuffed shrimp had an amazing butter-lemon sauce on them. I put the leftover sauce on crackers because I didn't want to leave it on the plate. The seafood fettuccine was wonderful as well. If I lived in the area, this would be a go-to place for us. Will definitely stop again when going through the area.
