A restaurant that has a decidedly Mexican flair and flavor, but also offers a respectable assortment of Japanese, Chinese, and sushi. So, hopefully something for everyone. We were passing through and had a delicious dinner. Actually, we ordered one dinner that was enough for us to share and had leftovers, too. We ordered a filet and chicken stir fry and asked to add broccoli . The meat was tender and the seasoning and flavors just right. Give it a try. The service was great, the prices reasonable, and the food was delicious, with generous portions.

Found this place via Tripadvisor, We Have stop by several times the last 2 years and also get an extra to go...Love the food better than Wasabi's, will be back...

We were referred here by our hotel for large portions of good food. The recommendation was accurate and my Asian chicken broccoli carrot over rice dish was great as was the miso soup. My son had the beef and pineapple fajitas. Each of the serving was enough for three people! Mask protocols were not properly observed by some staff as they wore them below nostrils; patrons were compliant.

We normally love Wasabi! However, we were there at 4:00 on Sunday afternoon. Every table was occupied and not spaced at least 6 ft apart. Customers were going tables and leaving without masks on. The staff did have masks on but I did see one with it under his nose. I thought all restaurants required customers to wear masks when moving around inside. They were not enforcing it at all! We will not be back until this virus is over!

NO SUSHI. Basically a Mexican restaurant with a few Asian inspired dishes. I was expecting way more based on the reviews. Doesn’t deserve to be #1 restaurant in Somerset, in my opinion. My teriyaki beef had a decent flavor, but was burnt on one side (picture). One of our orders was wrong. Wait staff was nice, but we only come here once a month or so. Won’t be back.

Quick and friendly service and delicious food! I ordered the teriyaki chicken which was served with savory vegetables. The meal also came with yum yum sauce which made everything even better!

How can you truly cook Japanese foods in a Mexican Restaurant? Having spent 7 years in the Orient their food isn't something to be desired. I found it to be too greasy and not very tasty.

I take turns ordering Mexican sometimes and Asian other times. Either way, it’s good. The Fajita Nachos are huge and really good.

Went here for the second time. It was decently good. Yellow rice is a dead give away it’s going to be suspect. This time it was awful. Plain as it can get. Teriyaki sauce all over it. Plain terrible. I’ll go back and I hope it’s at least back to decently good. But #1 in Somerset should tell you a lot about the restaurants there.

This evening I paid my third visit to the Wasabi Express looking forward to another excellent sushi meal. Only to learn that they no longer serve sushi, in spite of all of their advertising including sushi. Very disappointing. As a second choice, I ordered a Mexican meal. I live in Colorado and know good Mexican food, and this runny and almost tasteless meal was yet another disappointment. The service was excellent and I was seated quickly on a busy Saturday evening.

With a group of eight men, we went to see what different meals we could find in a Japanese/Mexican restaurant. We did find them! The Fajita Volcan had everything in it, even an entire ribeye steak. Some had seafood, others fajitas and quesadillas, but the favorite was the crab rangoons... the best I've ever eaten!

Always busy no matter what time of day it is but food always comes out fast. You get free salsa and chips no matter if you are eating Mexican or Japanese. The Japanese is a little on the expensive side but they do give you as much yum yum sauce as you want!!! Dinner portion is huge and we always have leftovers to take home for a 2nd meal. 1st time trying Mexican and the enchiladas were Excellent! Loved the diced tomatoes and the grilled and shredded chicken had great flavor. So far we’ve never had a bad meal here. Can’t wait to go back!

My wife and I went to Wasabi Express for the first time today based on other reviews in Trip Advisor. She ordered Enchilada Supromo and I ordered Fajita Volcan. My S the enchiladas were the best in years!!! The Fajita Volcan was AMAZING!. Ribeye, shrimp. chicken, chorizo, queso fundido, onion, cactus and a whole grilled jalapeno, along with Rice, beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream and tortillas. WOW, So Good! Service was prompt and friendly. Next time we go I will try the Japanese part of the menu, and if it is anything like the Mexican side, I will love it!!

Visited entirely on Trip Advisors rating. Was not disappointed. Had shrimp quesadillas which were excellent. Only thing missing was a cerveza to wash it down! Don’t know if dry county or what, but no alcohol.
