I accidentally found this restaurant while looking for somewhere to eat. I had a taste for Chinese food and I saw the restaurant on the web. I was just a few miles away so I tried it out and man what a surprise I got. The food was great and the young lady at the service desk was very polite. I didn't feel as if I was being watched while I ate my food. The atmosphere there was right on point and even the customers were very friendly. Golden China is a great place to eat and enjoy yourself while doing so. I recommend you go and see for yourself.

Golden China is my favorite kind of restaurant in that it is solidly secure in its identity, utterly unpretentious, and unerringly consistent. If you are a first timer, I recommend the lunch buffet, which has featured the exact same, well-balanced dishes for the entire eight years we have lived here. Stars for me include the hot and sour soup (honestly the best I've had anywhere, something I immediately crave anytime I am sick), veggie-filled garlic chicken, lo mein, egg rolls, slightly spicy general General Tso's, and the famous melt-in-your-mouth glazed doughnuts. Many of the meat dishes are veggie-heavy, which is thrilling to me: thick slices of green peppers and cabbage and fresh zucchini and broccoli all day. (Note: the lunch buffet has raised prices since we first came, but honestly they were too low before! The quality of the food is well worth the 11 dollars and change for the buffet.) To top it off, the owners of the family-run establishment are kind and welcoming. My (picky eater) daughter says if she were to pick a number between one to ten to rate this place, she'd say "ONE MILLION!" High praise indeed, Golden China.

Golden china used to have great Chinese food. Ate it for years. Didn't go there for a few years, so, I'm not sure what happened, but what I can say, is this is the WORST Chinese food I have ever eaten. The beef in my broccoli and beef tasted like fish, the General T'so chicken was straight vinegar and the there were no noodles in my Lo mein, nothing but vegetables. I was honestly astounded at how bad the food has become. I had to just throw it all away.

Food was amazing! I placed a pick up order and I was very surprised by the amount of food I got for my money and the quality was amazing. Best Chinese food I've had for a long time. Everything had its own distinct flavor and the meal as a whole went together really well and was very satisfying. My favorite was the chicken wings and the little wonton crisps, but it was all very tasty! Amazing food for amazing prices, try this place and you won't regret it! :)

yelp we REALLY need 0 stars! wish i had the option on this one! waffle house on saturday night, aug 26, 12:35 a.m. , old canton rd location in ridgeland. i have never been completely ignored until tonight. it was like viewing the living room of a young adult house party. staff and " would be patrons" they had no food, were laughing it up and having a grand discussion. we were not greeted, not acknowledged with water or menus and after 15 minutes we left. at that time we still had not been acknowledged. i now understand why there were so many empty seats.

I should have the reviews! I was craving Chinese food. Waiter just arrived with my Chinese food, and it was inedible. I specifically wrote Waiter no OIL, or a little OIL. They both were swimming in OIL, and the taste was awful. My plate had so much oil, as I tried to get rid of it, but to no avail. I spent $40.00 on this disaster. This was worse than my ex-husband!! I'm no longer going to use the Waiter app. I don't like fried rice, but the app makes you buy it. Uber eats and DoorDash is much better. If anyone knows of a good Chinese restaurant, please let me know. I've been to Mr. Chen's, good boba. Anyway, I'm going to feed this awful food to any 4 legged animal. I doubt they'll eat it, as well.

No. Just no. The sweet and sour chicken was nauseating. Disgusting taste and texture. And they didn't even give the sweet and sour sauce to drown out the disgusting. The fried shrimp rice tasted scorched, not burned but a scorched flavor. We could see there was barely any good on the buffet when picking up our order. Definitely wouldn't be worth the money for buffet. They don't give refunds. They offered another plate (which would be bad food) or a gift card (which would be bad food). Go somewhere else!!!

I thought I was given the wrong g item. I ordered mandarin chicken. I received chicken covered in brown gravy topped with almonds. I called to see about returning it and getting the correct item. They told me that what I received is their mandarin chicken....

Very good quality meals for carry out. I hope they are once again open for sit down service. Well managed by the customer focused owners! Golden China is our "go to" when we are hungry for Chinese food!
