The absolute worst! Do not purchase here if you value life and honest safe seafood products! I purchased crab fingers here on Monday to add to Gumbo. I live 1.5 miles down the road! The product smelled HORRENDOUS when I opened it! There was no way I was going to take the chance at adding them to my Gumbo ruining it and ending up in the emergency room with food poisoning or worse! I called and let them know on Tuesday that I would be bringing them back. I took them back on Tuesday and they offered a replacement and she asked if I was using them immediately or at a later time I stated it would be at a later time so she told her assistant to get one from the frozen department, I checked the bottom looking for an expiration date and she speaks out in Vietnamese to her assistant and tells him to bring over a thawed one. I noticed the frozen ended in 23 as if they expired in 23. The thawed ones they tried to give me were already open with the seal broken I declined those as they said they were the only ones they had. So I instead took the frozen ones since she assured they were fresh. I brought them home and placed in my freezer. I took them out of the freezer this morning on Thursday and let them thaw and decided to sauté for lunch, the taste immediately gave be an influx of Ammonia which is a sign that they were already in decomposition state prior to when they froze them. I immediately placed them back in the container for return because again I was NOT going to risk eating bad rotting seafood! When they don’t sell the crab fingers fresh they freeze them instead. They obviously didn’t freeze them in time! This is NOT the first time a family member has been sold bad rotten seafood and had to return! I called about the second container crab fingers and was told we can’t refund but we can replace for a different item like shrimp. I said okay that’s fine. The owner calls me after that call ended saying I must not be keeping them at the right temperature and would NOT allow me to get a word in. She insulted my knowledge and intelligence into regard to seafood freshness and storage! I explained to her that she gave me a frozen container which left the store and went in the freezer until today, thawed out and sautéed! She just kept making excuse after excuse and trying to shift blame! I asked her if she’d just rather I call the Harris County Health Department to let them know of her knowingly selling rotten expired products and FAILURE to properly rotate and dispose of expired products? Over the years I’ve leaned that when a seafood salesman asks you if you’re going to fry your seafood it’s a hint that it’s NOT FRESH! I highly suggest you decline the purchase and go elsewhere! When I returned the first container of crab fingers I was told by her if they are not good then we will replace again for you. Instead of that courtesy she calls me and gets a negative attitude and chose to make false allegations! This just solidified that I will NEVER purchase anything from this location ever again and will also forbid my entire large family whom have been purchasing from this location for YEARS to NEVER purchase here again! This is VERY poor abhorrent service and treatment and an act of gross negligence! Selling bad seafood is dangerous and can be deadly if consumed! You should be ASHAMED Of yourselves!

I drove from saucier to make it here at their location and they had the locks on the door and were already gone after they said they would be here until 2pm . Never coming back here again , idc , I’ll drive to Diberville before I come here again

If it's fresh seafood you're looking for, then look no further bc Family Seafood can supply your seafood needs! I went in looking for live blue crab and was amazed at the variety of seafood they had to offer. I was greeted upon entry with smiles and friendly service, but more importantly....they had live blue crabs!
Prices are decent but you’re not getting a really good deal so if you can find a cleaner atmosphere to purchase your seafood then do that, if this is a last resort than just be prepared to walk into a foul smelling, dirty establishment. Customer service ranges from subpar to nonexistent.
