Excellent service, but the food and sushi need a lot of help. Horrible. Ordered chicken fried rice, hardly any chicken, and the rice had no flavor at all. Maybe they need to find more cooks or either train cooks to cook food as it is supposed to be.

Monday evening dinning with party of seven. The Sushi Chef was not friendly at all. We love Koi but this time it really spoiled the mood. Heavy handed with sauce and the noodles were like glue. Won't be returning.

Fried rice was bland, no flavor, chicken in Fried rice was boiled and not cooked in the rice properly. Bad business. Home cooks can tell.

Ordered hibachi steak and hibachi chicken lunches with gyoza appetizer for take-out. Everything was ready when I arrived, and the gentleman working behind the bar that rung up my order was friendly. I looked around the interior as we completed the transaction, and it's very pretty inside. Unfortunately, the food itself wasn't great. The gyoza were pretty tasty, and we liked that the dipping sauce wasn't overly sweet like many other Japanese restaurants. The hibachi chicken was dry and under seasoned, and the hibachi steak was over cooked, under seasoned, and had a grey tint to it. The fried rice was bland and had a fishy taste, and the veggies were soggy. The portions were much smaller than other hibachi restaurants on the Coast. We might go back and eat in...if the food is better, I'll certainly update this review, but I definitely won't be ordering takeout again.

Our go-to for sushi or hibachi on the coast. The Koi's roll is a favorite, so is the Tai tea and our service is always good ?

We didn't have to wait, there was just 2 of us. The problem is that they pack you in the restaurant like sardines. I felt too close to the next person sitting at the next table. You couldn't really walk down the aisle straight. Waiting for food took long, waiting for a waiter took long because of so many customers (every table was full). When a water glass is empty for over 15 min and you have to flag down another waiter for help there is a problem.

They have the best Japanese food on the coast. We love it there, my wife loves the yakisoba and I always get shrimp tempura. They both very good.
