Great place for that special event evening especially sitting outside on their front covered deck. Beautiful view of the beach and watching the colorful sunset.

Glad to see they reopened and can't wait to come back for brunch. I got Catfish, shrimp and grits, hubs got the surf and turf. The filet on the surf and turf was very small, probably a 4oz cut. We finished the evening with the Wharf Pie.

Good food, great location, good service, just a bit boring. Need bigger better outdoor seating (your on the beach for God sakes). We want to feel "on vacation", not like we're in a fancy cafeteria. Also need some good laid back jam on some good quality speakers. Small live bands here and there would do the trick.

Only negative comment I have is that we were seated in our own room overlooking the sound and it was across from the bar . A trio of obnoxious people came in and sat at the bar. They seemed to know the staff. I'm sorry I'm not a bad person but the female with them was dressed in a short top and short cut off jeans. I am tired of going to what I consider a nice restaurant and I dress nicely and someone comes in looking like they are going to a biker bar. I will come back but ask for a different table

We ate outside because the weather was pleasant. It was quiet , the view was nice, and the server was attentive. I ordered the seafood gumbo, which contained one shrimp and no crab. The flavor was good. The shrimp pasta was fine. My companion's seafood platter was good. The hushpuppies were excellent. All was acceptable, nothing special( except maybe the hushpuppies). Prices were reasonable enough. Not many choices for wines by the glass.

We had a 7:30 reservation, When we got inside it was extremely loud. We requested a table on the porch and we're sitting on the porch. It was a lovely location. Quiet and with a breeze. The drinks were good. The broccoli and andouille appetizer was delicious. The shrimp and catfish with grits was good. We would return but only if we can sit outside.

I waited several days before posting this review. Always reluctant to leave a bad review thinking maybe it was just an "off" day. This goes beyond any "off" day. Saturday night looking for a nice place to dine, we selected the Blue Marlin after having nice experiences there prior to Covid. While not visibly crowded or busy looking, it took 45 minutes for us to receive our cocktails. The pours were very light barely half filling the martini glasses to the point where we asked for a larger pour. We placed our order. In the meantime another group of diners entered and were seated at a larger, round table nearby. We placed our orders for our salads and meals. Visiting with our friends who joined us for dinner, we realized almost another 45 minutes passed. When I looked over at the other table, they already were in the middle of their entree'. I got up, when to the front greeter and asked what happened to our waiter and our meal. After an apologetic exchange, the waiter emerged and gave a lame excuse that our salads were still being prepared and would be out "any minute". Now, an hour and a half into this experience with only a cocktail, we decided to leave to dine elsewhere. I asked for the check to pay for the cocktails. I was presented with a $56 bill for 4 cocktails. Gave them my credit card to settle up. 10 minutes later I stuck my head into the kitchen asking for my card (offering to pay cash). When the credit card statement came out, they were charging me $130 for the cocktails. Finally a manager voided that transaction and we were able to pay and leave. I had two previous, very memorable and pleasant experiences at this place in the past. I doubt I will ever return after such an unpleasant time. We ultimately left and had a nice meal at a nearby steak house. I sincerely hope this was a one time experience and others don't have to endure such treatment.

The Blue Marlin is Gulfport's best-kept secret. The evening we dined, the restaurant was very quiet, so the service was excellent as we had little competition with other guests. The Blue Marlin's menu is impressive for such a small restaurant tucked in a fairly new resort community. It's clear the chef is highly influenced by neighboring New Orleans' cuisine. Highlights included fried oysters, andouille and cabbage appetizers, fried fish sandwich (blackened and peppered), and fresh green salads. Do not leave your table without ordering a slice of blue velvet cake, topped with cream.

Every time I come to the Blue Marlin ? the food and service are outstanding! Today Kenny took great care of us and me never had to ask for anything because he was always checking in on us. When there was a problem with our order he took care of it and had our food out with a quickness. The drinks from the bartender? was outstanding and she remembered our drink? from our last visit. This is our "Cheers" because we always feel like they are always glad we came...even though they might not know our name yet. The Brussel sprouts were ??? as was the shrimp? toast!! If this isn't your spot it should be because I have never had a bad experience; so glad they reopened!!! It's never crowded and the atmosphere always has a upscale vacation vibe!Parking: Lot of parking Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessibile

Our original reservation was given to someone else however, the staff easily found two empty tables to accommodate us in the rather vacant dining room. This was surprising considering it was a sunny Sunday at 4pm. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was our first visit and we heard it was good but overpriced but we wanted to try for ourselves. We had 9 in our party so we didnt mind the longer than typical wait for food. Id say overall the food was very average. The fried seafood was a bit overcooked and on the bland side and some of the vegetables were obviously beginning to mold prior to steaming. For an average price of $25 per person I felt it left a lot to be desired for a coastal seafood restaurant. We will probably choose another restaurant next time.

We are staying at the Oasis, so we tried out The Blue Marlin. The food was very good. I was disappointed because they were out of shrimp when we went, so I settled for the grilled chicken pasta. I'm so glad I did! It was delicious. My husband got the Mahi Mahi and said it was very good. We would gladly eat here again.

We love the atmosphere and the wait staff and food make it even better. Kenny was our waiter and he was incredible. I wish I knew the host’s name and the bartender too because they were both over the top as well. All three made such a great dining experience for us. This is my third time to go and every time has just been great. The food is so good. We had filet mignon, brussels sprouts, coast trash, and the best thing of all was the Boudin eggrolls. All of it was five-star but those eggrolls were Just delicious.

Overall it was a very good dining experience. The service and staff were courteous and kind. The appetizer was excellent. The entree was good but not excellent. I will definitely return again.
