I went only once, for their first Mother's Day brunch and they told me they were closed, which was long before it was supposed to be over, due to lack of staff, although I was alone. The greeter was incredibly rude with turning me away, so I never went back.

A great place to go grab a drink and maybe an appetizer but not a meal. Got our appetizer quick but not our entrees.

Ordered Pork Street Tacos and Pork Sliders only to find out they had no pork. Service was extremely slow and spotty. They brought food out one or two at a time instead of bringing the food for the entire table at once.

The hubs and I popped in on our way to Florida. He got the filet and I got the red fish! Food was delicious! Drinks were refreshing! Old fashioned and the Lee's Tea.. Our server was great and a cool train atmosphere!

Food was great service was helpful and food arrived very quickly. My drink was great and was a very low key place with a cool train theme.

I stayed at the Hotel Indigo and it was easy to eat at the attached restaurant but I was worried about the negative reviews. The meal and service were both amazing! I got the Pimento Cheese BLT and added the truffle sauce to the curly fries. Excellent ambiance and the food was delicious! Don’t let old reviews scare you off, this place is so good!

Had the hotel special ribeye steak, fire roasted potatoes, and fried green tomatoes! Food was mouth watering, even got an extra order of the fried green tomatoes. Service was a little slow, only had one waitress on shift that night, but she did her best. In and outside seating, nice soft lighting. Worth checking it out with the Mrs!

Overnighted at the hotel and made it for a late(ish) dinner. "A proper burger" was enjoyed by both me and my traveling companion! With really good curly fries!

This is a Hotel bar. It's a nice spot with reasonable appetizers and good bar tenders. A bit over priced but hey, it's in the Indigo Hotel. H-burg is lucky to have them.

In Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Great service and recommendation by Jelly J (shrimp poboy) at the Brass Hat.

The curly fries were delicious and well seasoned. The shrimp on the Po’Boy was a little too salty and the sandwich could’ve used some type of creamy sauce or even tartar sauce. I also ordered the apple cider mimosa which was 13 dollars which isn’t a great price for the amount that was poured. The size was probably around a 3/4 cup you don’t get much for the price you pay. The taste was similar to apple cider as described. The customer service was great and very sweet.

I rarely write reviews but I felt compelled to defend this place based on my experience after reading the negative reviews. I almost declined to eat here after reading them! My first experience was at check in. I wasn't feeling well so I went to the bar and ordered hot tea. It came out at a perfect temperature with a little setup of honey, lemon and sweeteners on the side. I decided to chance it and have dinner later. I was very pleasantly greeted. I ordered a glass of wine and a burger. Both came out in a very timely manner and the burger was good and was cooked exactly how I requested. The fries were excellent as well. The ambiance of the restaurant is great with outside seating available if preferred. Thoroughly enjoyed!!

Just found out your location hosted the trophy tour for Ole Miss fans, right across the street from Southern Miss. What a tasteless act! This makes you look like your owner/manager is still in Jr High! You just lost all hope of winning our business. Judging from many of the reviews I’ve seen, you need to focus less on being an Ole Miss fan and more on training your personnel. You may think high prices makes you a classy place, but class is something you know little or nothing about.

It is sad to say that the best bar in Hattiesburg has fallen. I stay regularly and the decline is more and more evident. From the days of Conner, Jordan and Lauren as bartenders, the meaning of CRAFT cocktails has gone away. One previous visit there were no black cherries for an old fashioned. So on my next stay, I brought black cherries so that the cocktail could be authentic. On the next visit I forgot the cherries, and so did Brass Hat. The drink quality was subpar at best. A real shame. Will be back at Indigo again next week and will probably skip the Brass Hat to avoid disappointment.

Me, wife, and 4 friends went to talk relax and eat in the evening. Brass hat use to be great but has gone downhill, service wise. The drinks are still very good, however, the staff seems to all be younger and inexperienced. I had 7 drinks on my tab total and I was charged $102. There were several upcharges that didn’t make sense and when I asked about them the waitress did a very poor job of explaining them. Speaking of the waitress, she was absent most of the night. We kept waiting for refills and had to get up and walk to the bar to get our drinks. She was nice at first but the more we asked her to do the more her attitude began to show. I guess she was mad that we were distracting her from flirting with the gentleman in the corner inside who she was standing by talking to all night. After all that we were charged a 20% gratuity to sit outside and have some drinks, we didn’t eat anything. Needless to say I’ll take my business elsewhere until changes are made. 2 stars because the drinks are good.
