The GM at this restaurant is a total disgrace to customer service. Our party went on Wednesday when the wings are discounted. She took our waiter from us I assume she didn't want her "black" waiter servicing a large black party. She messed up the tickets and basically told us next time we would have to sit at separate tables. Well guess what there won't be a next time. I'll go support a business that has good customer service and pay more before I be treated as such!

Probably the best barbecue place in town. They have a killer brisket and virtually no waiting time. Every thing we had was great. They have a good selection of BBQ sauce and very reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

Wow, this experience was not what I expected. Drove a few hours to get what appeared to be great brisket and was sadly mistaken. Maybe I just received a bad batch but the photo explains it. It was very dry and lacked flavor. Went on to the collard experience and they were not seasoned at all. But I must say, the bbq sauce was really good and made eating the brisket bearable. Really appreciated the kindness of the staff. Maybe the reviews were for the Gulfport location.

Sliced brisket was a major disappointment. Very dry and looked like slices of roast, not brisket. I have eaten at Murky Waters in Ocean Springs many times and it has always been amazing. This is my first time trying Hattiesburg and probably the last.
On the 7-hour drive home from a disastrous weekend getaway, we really REALLY needed some comfort food. We decided to try somewhere off the interstate. What we found was Murky Waters BBQ. The service here was outstanding. We were told it was just 1 guy in the kitchen but that didn't diminish the quality of the service or the food. I got the brisket and my wife got the blackened chicken - both were outstanding. We decided to make Murky Waters our go-to in Hattiesburg since we usually roll through here around lunch time on the way to New Orleans and around dinner time on the way back. Thank you, Murky Waters! You guys were just what we needed.

Ordered a half rack Togo plate with Mac and cheese and bake beans. Over half the ribs were not edible due to dried out, tough and.old. It reminds you of beef jerky. The Mac and cheese was so thick and unseasoned. The bake beans were full of BBQ sauce and sugar. This was by far the worst food we have ever received from this place..

The patty melt was really good. The portion of fried okra was plentiful. All the food was hot and delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient. I'd definitely recommend stopping by here if you like good bbq.
