What can,you say about waffle house that hasnt already been said....I'd go back. You either love em,or you hate em. Beats the hell out of a huddle house. This one was alright. Tiny bit too much pepper on the pork chops but not as bad as some mix it. Good job on the hash browns.

Not happy at all, definitely 2nd worst experiences with a waffle house, the first we walked in and walked out that is how dirty it was, this one is cleaner. So let's get started, I called ahead to place a to go order, 10 to 15 mins later when I arrived the order was not even started yet. It was about another 10 mins later before it got started and that was because the cook finally decided to show up to work (maybe the nightshift cook should have stayed till the day cook arrived). 15 mins later my food was ready, time to pay, this waffle house does not give a military discount on to go orders, instead they charge an additional 10% for to go orders (fyi during the call in order, there was no mention of a 10% charge for to go). Yes you heard me right, no military discount on to go orders and charge an additional 10% on to go orders. They entire staff were really disorganized and there was no sense of urgency.

Food was great. Woody was our server and he was amazing. This guy deserves a raise. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. My daughter will be attending Southern Miss in the fall so we will be back.

Your belly wants what your belly wants, or is it my soul that wants Waffle House? Maybe not my soul according to Nietzsche who said, "The belly is the reason that man does not easily mistake himself for a god." Who knows! I just like me some Waffle House, and the Two Egg Breakfast hit the belly spot at 10:15 p.m. And the drunk sitting next to me at the counter liked WH too - after he scrounged up the money to pay for it. Donc ça va, or so it goes!

I have been to my fair share and was even a grill op once upon a short 3 month period of time. The server, who was sweet and nice, was way too personal in her conversation and the food was just below what I would personally consider the standard not great but not bad conclusion, which is not surprising, not at all...

Be sure to leave your waitress a good tip because that's how they get paid.

You have to expect when you go to a Waffle House most locations in the south that it will not be the cleanest experience of your life. This location is pretty high on my top ten filthiest restaurants. I've been to a few Waffle House restaurants that smelled of sewage or didn't clean tables well, but this place over all made my stomach turn a bit. Maybe it was just the overwhelmed staff, but it is a Waffle House. The folks should be used to being busy. You can usually count on eggs and bacon cooked properly. That is why most folks put up with the unsightly conditions. This location hasn't perfected even making a Waffle. Best of luck to the management.

Little surprises me. My palate has reveled in decadence and savored culinary marvels. I have been entertained by nobility, and the trappings of this world have fallen at my feet. But then there's the 49N Hattiesburg Waffle House. This is the 82nd Waffle House I have experienced worldwide. It was immediately made exceptional when I discovered that no fewer than nine cooks were busy at their craft. There is no greater misfortune one faces than arriving starved, weary, and occasionally shirtless to an understaffed Waffle House. I counted twice and gasped. NINE. Service was immediate, precise, and without stumble. My dining party arrived, were served, and departed in 19 minutes. This is the Carl Lewis of Waffle Houses. The partakings were what you've come to expect from Waffle House. Nothing more, nothing less. Adequate and agreeable.
