Had the filet Saturday night. Let me tell you it was second to none. The cut of meat was top notch. I've always said to have a great steak you've got to start with a good cut of meat. Tye food, the service, and the atmosphere was simply amazing. Stacy, the owner checked up on us to make sure we was taken care of. Such good people, if you haven't tried the filet you're missing out.

These folks knocked it out of the park. Had the Red Fish and dirty rice. Unbelievable! The portion was huge and I wasn’t able to finish it. Absolutely a hidden gem.

We were looking for something different than our same old places. The menu was interesting but the things I would have ordered had been crossed off. The food was good but after leaving with my leftover Greek salad I realized it had no olives. The croutons were just stale bread - no seasoning or crunch. The waitress was pleasant but didn't mention the daily specials which I would rather have had. They don't serve alcohol but you can BYOB. The atmosphere is boring, no music. Park on the street or someone may just block you in. We had high hopes for the place (it has a lot of potential) but it was nothing at all like its name suggests. Disappointment.

We had been wanting to try this place for a while. My wife had the Prime Rib sandwich special. It was ok but kind of blan. My son got the jalapeños cheese burger and I got the muffuleta and we halved them and shared. The cheese burger had great taste and was really good. The muffuleta was really good. I ordered my fries extra chrispy but they came out just plan. We will definitely go back and give them another try

Unique place, we had the crab stuffed mushrooms, the problem with it was there was no crab in it or if there was some we didn't find any, there was tiny shrimp like you would buy pre-cooked and they were not good also the mushrooms could have been cooked longer. This is the reason for the 3 stars. I had the Chicken Crepes and they were delicious also the vegetables were cooked good, would have this dish again. My husband had the Jambalaya Pasta and it was also delicious. If not for the appetizer this would have been at least a 4 star. Will be back to try other dishes.
Ignored most of the time. Only 2 people party. Waited almost 25 mins. Nobody came to take our order or drinks. Asked nicely if anyone could serve us. Different people that came after us were getting like 2-3 different people checking up on them though.

Had dinner here Saturday night by myself. My server who has been there 5 years made my experience fantastic as he catered to my every need, was extremely polite, and exceptionally knowledgeable of the menu. Everything was hand made to order, speedy, and delicious. I loved the small building vibe as everything seemed much more personal. By far my favorite place to eat in Hernando and will regularly be eating here once a week minimum.

First off ignore the on line menu. Prices are two to three dollars higher and there is no lunch menu per se. There is a blackboard with daily specials. Several items are no longer available. Even with all that we love the place. This is our third trip and the food is excellent. We've tried the meat and cheese appetizer and the stuffed mushrooms. Both were excellent although presentation is underwhelming. The taste is great. So were the sandwiches we tried (Rueben & Cubano). The Cajun Chicken was delicious and my wife enjoyed the Catfish Pontchartrain. What brings us back though is the Caesar Salad, best we've found in Desoto county.

I took my daughters for lunch bc the reviews looked great & I wanted to try a new spot. Menu selection looked better than the food tasted. My jambalaya was bland...my squash/zucchini veg of day was salty & had to be sent back. My daughter's chicken tenders were fried so hard that she doused them in ketchup & still couldn't eat them. My other daughter had a burger that she loved tho, so they get 2 stars for that. I wanted to try a dessert, but I think the waitress was upset with us not liking the food & never came back to the table to get the order. That was prob a good thing. I had already spent $30 for half eaten pasta & a really good burger, so I did not need to waste any more money.
