Very knowledgeable about gluten issues! Bacon cheeseburger in lettuce wrap was superb - juicy, well-seasoned meat with plenty of fresh, green lettuce. Even the diet cherry coke (fountain drink) tasted great. A bit of a wait - p.s., worth it.Dietary restrictions: Helpful re: gluten intolerance menu choices

We drove from Vernon, Alabama because we saw the milkshakes featured in a magazine. It was well worth the hour drive! Dogs are welcome in the fenced in area out back which was a bonus for us! A lady who I believe may have been the owner or a manager of sorts came out and asked if our pups needed water and gave them some treats. We will definitely be back!

The food was great, staff is very friendly, the shakes are out of this world good. They play christian music and that's a big plus. Play console or let your kids bury each other in the rocks. ? the food does take a while but it is hot and delicious when you get it. And unfortunately there is no bathroom.

I biked the Tanglefoot trail and found this place on my trip research. Great service, food was fantastic. I ate outside on the tables. The table service was nice! For the locals there is a large backyard with corn hole plus tables. Quite the place for food and fun!Kid-friendliness: Ice cream, outside gamesParking: Lots of space, and a drive thru.

Saxon's is a great locally owned restaurant. The staff was friendly and informative. The cashier even suggested a way to order what my son wanted that saved me money. They have a cute area set up in the back for games. The menu was displayed and large enough to read. friendly staff and prompt service are two things to mention from this place. We will be back. Big thanks for putting my son's birthday on the sign! He loved it!

We drove over 60 miles to come specifically to this place. The pictures we saw looked worth it. My honest review is that I got a patty melt (which was not how a patty melt is made). A patty melt is a burger with fried onions and cheese on Texas toast or marbled rye. Their version is barely any onion, lettuce bacon, and tomatoes. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a bad bacon cheese burger, but not even close to a patty melt. I got onion rings, which were good.My husband got a cheeseburger, the Saxton, or something like that. He said it was a burger. He ordered a large fry for $4.99 it wasn't more than a medium, if that. The outdoor seating looks way better than it actually is now. I'm not upset that we drove that far because I have wanted to try it for a while now, but we won't be back.

Great little hole in the wall ! Outdoor sitting and drive through no indoor dining! Cash and card ! Former owners who are no longer with us would be proud! Family friendly! ?

Great place to eat! They just remodeled their building and added more room to what looks like an "eat and play" play yard. Check it out next time you're looking to eat out

Wish I could give 10 stars! Stopped by Saxon's after biking on the Tanglefoot Trail and was so happy we did. Best shakes in the state hands down, and even better service. If you're hitting the bike trail and are looking for a great place to eat after (or before), this is it.

Paid $17 for the worst food I’ve ever had in my life… i got loaded bbq fries and a side of slaw. They text me when it was ready and I was pulling up to the window in less than 2 minutes. Not only were the fries freezing cold but the bbq was so tough and old I couldn’t eat it. I never leave reviews much less bad ones but I just can’t believe i wasted almost $20 on food I couldn’t even eat. But I will say the young boy at the window was amazing. Super sweet and polite!!
