Worst service EVER! Our drinks were never re-filled, if I had not had a bottle of water my bag we would have had nothing to drink. Coffee was only refilled after waving someone down, & had to get sugar from table next to us. My husband's order was wrong but we'd never have been able to correct it because again no one checked on our table. Had to ask for silverware. If you are hungry do not get the shrimp and grits, there was only 3 shrimp & a spoonful of grits. We would have been sitting there for hours with no service & no check if I had not waived our server down. After asking for the check it still took several minutes before she came back. I waited tables for years, I am pretty lenient on servers but this was unacceptable. We waited for 30 minutes for a table, which was fine because of the great reviews. We unfortunately did not have the same experience. If you are driving down I-55 looking for a place to stop, keep driving.

First time to eat there. Had lunch. The oyster omelet was very unique and good. I will be back to try something else soon.

Came for brunch and had an incredible experience all around! Phenomenal food, beautiful atmosphere, and great service. Every single thing we tasted was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. No pictures of the food because it was immediately devoured. I recommend everything on the brunch menu, and their green juice is delicious too. Will absolutely be back!

I had the sausage egg and cheese biscuit with the breakfast fries, and they were excellent. The fries were a touch cold, but still delicious.

Outstanding dining experience. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and their seasonal menu makes me want to go back to see what else the chef will create. For the quality of the food and service, I thought the prices were very reasonable.

Great brunch. We did not have the brunch cocktails but the espresso and Cappachino was great. Will be back. Little French ambience

Used to be superb and well worth top ratings. The past two times have not been as good and lacking flare. The inside noise level is too loud for low conversation. Their breakfast and duck fat seasoned hash browns are awesome.

I've been to Elvie's twice now this winter (December), both extremely pleasant experiences, so I am leaving behind a review. My first visit, a couple of my coworkers and I noticed the cute and cozy looking restaurant and decided to stop in at the bar for a couple of drinks and dessert after work. We ordered an Old Fashioned, Espresso Martini, and a French 75 - all were excellent, so we decided to order a second round and take a look at the dessert menu. The Salted Caramel and Chocolate Brownie (not pictured because quickly devoured) was heavenly, and at the point I knew we needed to return for dinner! My second visit, I came with a larger group of coworkers, and everyone was satisfied with the food and service for a party of our size (8). I personally ordered the Sangria, Cacio E Pepe, and of course the brownie thad been thinking about since our first visit. As a larger group we also had (although not pictured) the Raw Oysters, Oysters Elveretta, Bread & Butter, Steak Frites, Redfish Almondine, Goat Milk Cheesecake, and many drinks. Everything was delicious!

Having passed through Jackson the previous week while traveling to Texas, we decided to try out Elvie's as a last treat to ourselves on our trip back to Virginia. We usually don't bother with nice dining experiences while crossing the country but were excited to have a little downtime before setting out the next morning. The hosts were super friendly and very accommodating with our requests to swap seats (the barstools at the chef's table just aren't worth it in my opinion), but as soon as it came time to order, everything started slowly going downhill.Unfortunately, while all of the food was pretty, it came out cold. We also felt pretty ignored by the wait staff in favor of larger tables and even after trying to flag down any waiter at all to reorder drinks, it still took what felt like a considerably long time to both order and receive it.I feel like, having spent $230 total for two people including a tip, it was entirely too much money for an experience I can receive in my hometown for a fraction of the cost with wait staff who at least smile when they talk with us. Perhaps with a larger group, you'd have better luck, but we won't be returning and wished we had just ordered a pizza.
