I eat out a lot and I've patronized this place for many years and they have never disappointed. Never! It amazed me when I find a restaurant that is consistently good. Many places get arrogant and can slack on service and quality, not here. Freshest sushi in town and the lunch box/bento box is a superb value and price for the quality and quantity of the dish. I recommend the eggrolls but order those first because they are handrolled to order and take about 30 minutes, but worth it and surprisingly priced well. Favorite sushi is shrimp Kodiak, spicy shrimp and dynamite roll. The shrimp lagoon appetizer is so good, the beef negima is awesome, gyoza delish and fried mixed tempura are my favorite appetizers. Just go check them out.
Best Sushi I've had in Mississippi! I can't recommend it enough, especially the Scorpion Roll!

I have worked for the Higuchis for years and they treated me great over the time I spent with them making sushi alongside the likes of Nam Troung and Takahiro Higuchi-San himself. It was a wonderful experience and I wish it could have lasted longer but due to health reasons I was forced to resign. That being said the food is phenomenal and try some of the things on the secret menu like Pork Ramen, Natto Roll, Ankimo, and others just keep your ear ready while eating at the bar. If it is back open, yet. for more secrets lol.One more thing. Try tobiko with Cornish hen eggs sushi. Or the Uni shooter. If they still do those. And a great appetizer of hamachi kama which is seared cheek of the tuna fish. Trying to keep guchi and Bruce on their toes.
Had dinner here last Sunday. The SST Tuna was fresh and delicious. Husband had teriyaki steak that was excellent.

Stopped by Sakura Bana for lunch. I love their bento boxes so I went with that. My favorite is the chicken teriyaki with tempura. Service is good. They are hiring, which is needed as the place was packed and they only had two servers. But they both did a great job.
