Disgustingly filthy cold plate Server said don't touch the plate it's hot, it was cold Rim of plate was filthy with prints And so many chips! I could imagine what was in the food, discussing Not spending $30.00 on this!! I bought the beer and went home to make my own Cajun salmon and grits. Which one looks appealing to you?

Had been wanting oysters something terribly for a few weeks and we decided to try Saltines after hearing great things. Much to our chagrin, this happened: Upon arriving at 1430 on a Saturday, we stood at the host stand waiting to be seated. Glancing into the restaurant, we noticed a well seated but not overly busy restaurant. The table nearest the host stand was clearing out and there were several other empty areas that we could be seated at. 10 minutes went by and we were yet to be greeted and seated. I had to take it upon myself to call upon the busboy who was clearing the local table and ask that he inform someone of our presence. After he went for help, we were promptly greeted and taken to sit at a nearby table. Normal service followed briefly, our waitress came to our table, we informed her of it being our first time and in a rushed but monotone voice she blurted out the most expensive items on the menu when we asked what the favorites were. We ordered spring crab/lobster rolls, the yellowfin tuna salad and I put in for my dozen oysters. She promptly brought us back our water and soda and disappeared, never to be seen again until it was time to get our check. During the course of our meal, I had to flag down another waiter to ask for a refill on my SO's beverage and other waiters brought our food out. Once it was time for our check, I had to flag down yet another waiter to find ours in order to get our check. I voiced my displeasure to her about the poor service which was evidently passed on. Once she finally brought our check, another ten minutes later, she made the comment that she'd been dealing with a more densely populated table and did not apologize for offering us zero service during our visit. All in all, the oysters were magnificent, the tuna and spring rolls tasty and the service was absolutely miserable. I saw others receiving great service during our meal so Id like to think this was a one off situation.

I ADORE SALTINE! I travel to Jackson every few months and a visit is not complete without Saltine. The oysters are amazing and perfectly prepared. The pork belly is inspired and delicious! I live in NJ, close to the beach, with lots of amazing restaurants around. But none like Saltine! They are one of a kind!

Let's start with their great customer service. Before going I was looking forward for the Oysters Rockefeller but was a bit disappointed with the bland taste. The cajun seafood pasta was tasty and they served pretty good drinks. Overall would definitely come back to try again the Oysters Rockefeller hoping for better results.

Everything was freshly prepared, service was great, reasonablely priced, atmosphere great vibes, drinks was ok......however, the food lack flavor....very basic. If you don't cook or know how, "this is it"! NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL!! Overrated!!

This place was so cute! The service was also impeccable but unfortunately, the food left much to be desired. I had high expectations based on the reviews so I’m not really sure what others were tasting. The cornbread tasted like Jiffy box cornbread and the seared salmon lacked flavor. Maybe the chefs had an off day. There was also hair in my first plate of salmon which they remade. I would have given a discount or provided a free dessert or appetizer for that but it was only remade. I would be willing to try again but my first experience was meh

This place was a joke. Me and my son met half way in Jackson so we could grab lunch and hang out. We were sat outside and no one came to our table for almost 40 minutes. There was a table right by us with a server, so I tried getting the servers attention to see if he could let someone know we needed help and he completely ignore me. I verbally said “hey, excuse me sir..” and he avoided eye contact, acted like he didn’t hear me and walked off. Several other serves walked by our table and no one acknowledged us. I finally called the restaurant and told them we had been sitting for over 30 minutes and no one brought us drinks or anything. So someone finally came out after I called and brought us water and took our order. Took another 30+ minutes to get a cheese burger and fried fish. The food tasted half decent but just the overall experience was terrible. They brought our food but never brought utensils or napkins. Definitely will not be back and would not recommend.

We originally booked a high top table in the bar area. When we got there, there were two spots open at the bar, albeit not together but some guys were nice enough to slide down and so we sat at the bar. The shrimp and lobster spring rolls were really good. My husband had some oysters to start. We split a low country bowl and the flavor was awesome. The shrimp were a little over cooked but still good. I tried two different cocktails. Both were good but just a little too sweet for me. Not their fault. Ambiance was good. It was a sold place to go. It didn't blow me away but we will be back and try different things for sure and see.

Oysters were great. Drove from Vicksburg to find out they were out of lobster, shrimp and a few other items. But I'll definitely be back.

Food was great tasting and I believe high quality. But the gumbo was served cold and didn't need to be. Huge wait on drinks and water was always needed but rarely brought. Our waiter seemed annoyed with our existence. Very expensive considering the service.

This is a great spot in Jackson. They had a good selection of food across the southern spectrum - seafood (blackfish was great), pasta, low country boil, burgers/sandwiches, and even ribeye. I would come back for sure!

Don't leave there without trying the skillet cornbread and cinnamon cheesecake! You will thank me later for this. Shondra was great at recommending items on the menu and was very personable ask for her when you go.
