This the worst Marriott that we have ever been in, and we have been in many, many of their hotels (platinum member). The chemical smell in the room was so bad that my husband's nose started stinging and I started coughing after just a few minutes. I went to the front desk, and they were very gracious to let us check out without charging us. We moved across town to a different Marriott that was great. The building is old, and worn out. Not up to Marriott's standards.

All I can say is RUN while you can! !!!This is the Nastiest, Dirtiest hotel in Jackson Mississippi. This property makes the Motel 6 look like the Taj Mahal, The website is misleading to say the least I'm really surprised Marriott is allowing them to still be open , nothing works everything is dated the carpet is nasty and stained the laundry or workout facilities doesn't work the hot tub doesn't work the front door barley close I felt unsafe. I was scheduled to stay 10 days unfortunately I checked out after 2days considering the carpet was mildew and stained and I had nose bleeding every night SMH! I called and complained Several times the AGM Bella did call back once but never called back again the G eneral manager Grace Kelly who never call To resolve the issue, I guess she's busy working on her raggedy hotel SMH . The silver lining is regardless of how nasty this property was the front desk staff and housekeepers were very nice and professional if it wasn't for them I probably wouldn't lasted those 2 days. Get it together Courtyard or else I won't EVER come back again.

I’ve been a BonVoy Member for 8.5 years, I’ve written hundreds of reviews for hotels. This place by far was the worse experience of my life. See photos of my bed moldy! Nats infested room 111. $2 for banana in the morning what a joke but then on the evenings you host a popcorn night on Wednesday and had the same fruit for free. The front desk staffer when I checked in on May 22nd was more worried about ordering her food than checking me in. The lady that made the kettle popcorn on Wednesday was really nice really excited about the popcorn that was really fresh that day.

PL = admittedly - it's a dump. I've stayed b4 and it's never changed. Now wall are peeling. Shower dripped all night, no plug in the sink. Light in the bathroom doesn't work so I showered with the door open. But hey - it was $50 less than anything else and the people were AMAZING. Bistro, front desk. And here's the other thing - there are filled sanitizers everywhere and even at the bistro, you have to ask for sugar packs. They don't want people breathing on them. This tells me they care about cleanliness. So it's sort of a dump but looks like make construction coming - certainly on the outside. Yet I would stay again!!

We knew going in that this hotel was being remodeled but decided to take a leap of faith as we were able to get a couple of nights on an unusually low amount of Marriott points. There is a lot of work going on and it definitely needs a remodel as it is an older somewhat worn hotel - but we still had a pretty nice stay. The remodel work wasn't really a bother, and the staff was very efficient and helpful. The location is really good as it is easy to access shopping and restaurants in Madison/Ridgeland as well as in core Jackson.

The hotel staff was great. I had no problems checking in and everything went smoothly. Everything was clean and the beds were super comfy I slept so good. The hotel rooms were spacious and just what I needed for a quick one night stay.

Place was not up to Marriott standards, worst Marriott ever , needs updated , carpet was stained and dirty , ceiling was peeling and was dropping things on the furniture from above , curtains were nasty and linens were old and stained (they appeared clean but stained), Lobby looked ok and staff very nice but overall the place was bad , a lot of noise outside at night , people drinking and partying in the parking lot(not guest that it appeared)

This review is all about the service at this hotel…the hotel itself is in desperate need of renovations which look to be coming sometime this year so I won’t even comment on the poor state of the actual hotel…We were a very late check in and Val couldn’t have been sweeter. We had been on the road for 10 hrs and I wanted a little something to eat. The Bistro had just closed but Gary was happy to re-open and fix me a grilled cheese. His comment was that if he was the customer and came in tired and hungry he would appreciate someone doing that for him. It was such a sweet, sweet thing to do because I know he wanted to get home. Upon our departure today, we waited at the bistro for coffee. Dana was our server and I didn’t realize he was also the desk attendant until he started going back and forth between the bistro and the front desk. He did everything with a smile and such a pleasant attitude even though the lobby had at least a dozen people waiting to be helped. Bottom line is this staff deserve an ice hotel because they provide 5 star service. I would come back to this hotel in a heartbeat because of them. Marriott, get on the ball and get their hotel renovated!! The staff and their customers deserve that.

This hotel was awesome. Not sure what other guest saw or experienced during their set it stay. Constance was great at check in. I did have an issue with my tv & even though the maintenance man was gone for the day, another gentleman came and assessed the situation & instead of switching my room which I already unpacked, he brought a new television & made sure it worked before leaving. Plus the room was very modern & comfortable. Constance fave me a late check out until 2 pm & I’m only a silver member. Way better than Choice or Wyndam! I will certainly stay there again when I’m in town.

Like all of the other reviews have stated, this hotel is horrible, I would be embarrassed to call this hotel a Marriott brand hotel. The room quality is very poor, dingy , smelly and very low quality. Please shut it down or sell the property. The staff was nice but it’s not fair to put them in that situation. Stay away

I am a loyal Marriott customer (platinum) and feel I have a certain confidence in the brand. This experience makes me want to do A LOT more homework before booking. Check in was fine and the front desk staff was nice. Trouble began at the elevator - sticky floors are never a good sign. Upon entering the guest room we were overpowered by the smell of air freshener over what I think was cigarette smoke. The carpet had not been vacuumed, paint peeling in the bathroom, an unfinished patch job on the bathroom ceiling, no trash can in the room and insufficient towels for a double queen. The phone was not plugged in and the faceplate was not attached to the wall leaving a big hole. The TV and the fridge did not work. And in the morning there was a roach on the phone next to the bed. It was late when we checked in and we were only there one night so just muddled through. We did get more towels and a trash can and they fixed the TV, but I am really shocked that Marriott wants to be affiliated with this property. Skip this one when making your travel plans.

Avoid this hotel: we made a reservation for June 27, confirmation number and everything. Went to check in, they had cancelled our reservation without notifying us or anything. We were without a room for the night, not to mention they will NOT credit my card back for the stay, of course we were only traveling through Jackson for the day. So I can't just pop back in there to speak with anyone. They won't answer their phone either. The lobby was dirty and the staff were rude. Definitely not up the Marriott standards

Not up to Marriott standards. The window seals are all broken and the windows look like a dirty shower door. The air conditioner was turned down to 60 degrees and took room awhile to warm up. We were spoiled by a very nice Courtyard in Nashville. This one is disappointing.

Stayed in room 345 on 5/17/21 we came in late after dinner at nearby restaurant. When we awoke the next morning we were startled to see the ceiling was bowed downward with several cracks showing outlines where drywall was separating at the seems. If we had seen this the night before we would not have spent a minute there. We hurriedly dressed took pictures and got out of there. Told desk clerk about the room and left . Any hotel that would put a guest in such a room should be avoided at all costs

Stayed on the 3rd floor and people were fighting next door, slamming doors, carpet in hall way was dirty, no bulbs in lamps, toilet didn’t flush and room door was hard to open. Outside view from our window was a nasty have full green pool And hot tub. Hall way smelled like weed was being smoked. Glad we only booked one night, didn’t feel safe and would not recommend to anyone.
