be aware of overly inflated prices at Walkers. The Blue Plate special is priced double of what it should be priced. The owners need to be advised that blue plate specials are traditionally an affordable lunch price friendly to workers and customers not able to afford a pricey evening meal. WALKER'S gouges it's customer. my friends and I will NOT return.

Sometimes you get good advice from a hotel bartender on local places to eat around town and sometimes you get sent to a whole shit show. This time we found a winner!! We stayed at The Westin and were down at the bar grabbing drinks before we went out for dinner. He immediately, without hesitation, not only said this was the only place we should go, he also told us exactly what server we should ask for. He said that Casey was the man who we needed to see. (This was a year ago, so I hope he is still there). Arrived to a packed house but were able to slide in pretty quickly. The place is stupid cute. It's in an old diner and all of the old feel still in it. Fine dining in an old diner. Love it. I'm not into asking for servers I have never met so we just rolled the dice. Server arrives and it's none other than our man Casey. He was pretty rad I must say. He could have owned the place with all of the pride that beamed from him when he talked about the dishes. All of the food was fantastic. Menu may have changed in a year so I won't drool on about it too much. I will say this.... We had a Dry Aged Bone In Ribeye that was the special and holy shit. My wife still says it's the best steak she has ever had. Desserts were awesome! Fried pies with ice cream and a Cinnamon Roll Tiramisu. Oh my goodness! I cannot wait to come back here! '24 - 27/100

I've always heard incredible things about Walkers and had been wanting to try it for awhile, and I'm SO glad I did. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is even better! The fried lobster skewers were so tasty - I seriously wanted to order 5 more servings. Then, I had the wood grilled bone-in special. It was 22 oz, and I didn't think I would be able to eat it all, but it was so good I couldn't resist! I ate every piece of it, and still somehow had room for dessert. I tried their fried pie of the day which was some sort of mixed berry empanada with a vanilla glaze and sweet cream ice cream - SO SO GOOD! I'll definitely be back.

We have been here for dinner several times and the last visit showed a marked decline in service and food quality.Service was slow. It took a long time for our server to take orders - first took drink orders, disappeared, then apps ordered, disappeared, etc. when she finally took out mains orders, she didn’t bother to stick around to ask if we wanted sides (we did). it took even longer for the kitchen to send food out. We were not offered bread despite it taking so long for our food to come out.The crab cakes continue to be excellent. The strawberry beet salad had almost no beets. The seared foie gras tasted good but still has the membranes so was stringy. The bread pudding, which has always been excellent, was a chewy brick this time.I hope this visit was an aberration.

Very knowledgeable server. Love the special options. We had a scallops feature that blew my socks off. Dining at walkers is an "experience" that you don't get everywhere and I appreciate that it's available to everyone by offering reasonable prices. One of the best eateries in central MS.

I would give 6 out of 5 if that was an option. This is honestly my favorite restaurant in the country. We’ve lived all over and I haven’t had a dish anywhere that’s as unique and delicious as the “everything crusted tuna” here. So good. We’ve tried several different dishes over the years, and everything is consistently great. If the softshell crab is ever on the menu that is a must try. I’m hungry after writing this review

Walker's Drive In is an absolute gem in the world of dining, and I can't sing its praises enough. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for a treat.First and foremost, the service at Walker's Drive In is top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They made fantastic recommendations and went out of their way to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Now, let's talk about the food. Wow! Every bite was a revelation of flavor and creativity. The menu boasts a fantastic array of dishes, each prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. I started with the Blue Crab Melt, and I was blown away by the delicate balance of flavors. The crab was sweet and succulent, and the perfectly toasted bread provided a satisfying crunch. For my main course, I couldn't resist the Wood-Grilled Filet. It was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy with a smoky char that added depth to every bite. The accompanying truffle mashed potatoes and asparagus were the ideal companions, elevating the dish to a level of culinary excellence that I'll remember for a long time. The dessert menu at Walker's Drive In is equally impressive. I indulged in the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie, and it was a symphony of decadence. Creamy, rich, and packed with flavor, it was the perfect conclusion to an extraordinary meal. The restaurant's atmosphere is also worth mentioning. It strikes a perfect balance between upscale and comfortable, making it an ideal spot for a special occasion or a casual night out. The dim lighting and cozy decor create an inviting ambiance that enhances the overall dining experience. And let's not forget the bar! Walker's Drive In offers a fantastic selection of cocktails and an extensive wine list. I highly recommend exploring their cocktail menu, as the mixologists truly know their craft. In summary, Walker's Drive In is a culinary masterpiece that deserves every bit of its five-star reputation. Whether you're a food enthusiast looking for a memorable dining experience or simply in search of a great meal, this restaurant should be at the top of your list. I can't wait to return and savor more of their delectable creations. Kudos to the entire team at Walker's Drive In for consistently delivering excellence on every plate!

Absolutely excellent restaurant in every regard. We don't go often but it's my favorite for fine dining. Great atmosphere, very cozyKid-friendliness: They provide amenities for kids but I wouldn't take too young of a child due to it being a fine dining establishment.Parking: Parking lot is a bit small but so is the restaurant. Plenty of parking in the street.Wheelchair accessibility: Has wheel chair access. Inside is just a tad bit tight but definitely manageable.
