They had a great selection of candy, bite-sized treats, and cookie dough. I would have taken a picture, but I was too excited to try them. This will definitely be a stop every time we come to Laurel.

We love our sweet friends at Shug’s. We stop in quiet often to get cookie dough, mini cookie cakes and Oreo balls!

Was expecting something more I suppose. For a cookie shop there was an extremely low choice of items and can’t remember even seeing a single cookie. Won’t go back

Rude people . One woman working was slinging things around like she hated me being there . Cookies dry.

Stopped in for coffee and a sweet and were amazed at the selection of goodies. We chose a sticky bun with pecans and a raspberry danish. Both excellent but sticky bun our favorite. Sat at a table looking into the kitchen so we could watch the ladies work. Very friendly staff.

Disappointing, went on 2/10/23 at 2:00 to get a little cheesecake and a red velvet cupcake, the cheesecake was okay. The red velvet cupcake was definitely old not fresh, unfortunately had to throw it in the trash. Never been to a bakery that had not fresh desserts.

Nice selection of cookies and cupcakes, they also have pie, brownies, sticky buns and other yumminess too. Friendly service. The hours vary. Tried going earlier in the week but there was a sign on the door stating they are only open Thursday - Saturday 8am - 6pm. So had to come back. But that wasn't a problem as it's a nice downtown area to visit frequently. I warmed up the sticky bun in the oven for a little bit the next day and wow, so so good. Tried the lemon and caramel pecan cookie, and one more which I forgot the name but they were all very yummy. Hopefully they are open when you're in the area but if not I'd make it a point to go when they are.

Staff seems disconnected, preoccupied with doing “stuff” behind the counters, and a little annoyed that we disturbed them. This was the only shop we visited in Laurel that was unfriendly.

Before I get to the review a little something about the south, folks are relaxed and friendly something I forgot when I went to the bakery yesterday. Greet all merchants with a "hi how are ya'll doin" relax and procee with your business. The feeling of a warm hug will follow. Now to the PERFECT Apple Carmel Cheese cake, sooo creamy but still has the traditional cheese cake taste and my husband is still whining that he ate all his cookie and wants more. Thank you Something Sweet Bakery hope to be back soon.

We stopped on our way back home. The selection was limited and the staff acted like we were inconveniencing them. We didn't get greeted, when looking for the bathroom she practically barked directions at me and my daughter, and then when we went to order she just looked at us and acted like she couldn't get us out of the shop fast enough. Laurel is a lovely town, everyone we met up to that point and after that we're very friendly, so to be treated like this was disappointing. We will be back to visit Laurel, we wont be back to that shop ever. Maybe it should be called Bitter Ends instead of Sweet Somethings.

Have never had a more delicious scone❣️(Raspberry white chocolate) The cookies were devine and we wish we’d bought a dozen of every kind ? We still need to eat the cinnamon roll but I’m sure it won’t disappoint! Don’t hesitate to “over indulge”.

Bought what was told and labeled as a Lemon meringue pie. Was not! Was Lemon Ice Box Pie. It was topped with meringue, but does not make lemon meringue pie. Very disappointed. Threw away entire pie. Could had gotten frozen ice box pie (cheaper) at any grocery freezer case.

The manager in the back kept yelling instructions about her cake to the girl behind the counter helping customers and she kept yelling back to the manager. The clerk behind the counter did wear gloves thank God. My girlfriend got a cookie with M & M's and I got a brownie with nuts. She put them in the same bag. Luckily, my girlfriend isn't allergic to nuts but we wanted separate bags. Since they didn't cover the pan of brownies, my brownie was dry and I pitched it after one bite. When I told the clerk behind the counter that the manager needed to give her instructions on the cake after the customers left, it went right over her head and she said she was having an off mental day. Don't waste your money here. Terrible customer service.

It's a beautiful little bakery. Friendly staff. And as great as everything looked and the size of everything I thought it was going to be expensive but it's not at all! We got this giant cookie sandwich for $2.50 and it was so so good.

Friendly service and we were satisfied with the snacks we got. Definitely worth checking out.
