As locals, we love our go to dishes at basils. However, the girls that sit at the desk board out of their mind are not helpful and are very rude. Just feels like they’d rather be anywhere else. Back to the food my husband loves the chicken pad. Thai and my go to is the pho Thai. They have Boba teas advertised on the window, but they do not offer them.

Their pho and curry are great! My favorite drink there is the thai tea. ? I enjoy coming back, and trying something different each time.

Basil’s has become our Friday night place to eat since moving to Diamondhead. I love Thai and Vietnamese food and I can get both at Basil’s. Their Tom Kha coconut with shrimp soup is fabulous. Their Spring rolls, pineapple fried rice and curries are great. Helping are big, food is well seasoned and hot (heat wise). Small but clean, reasonably priced and served in a timely manner. Located off the beaten path, they are a locals hideaway and do a busy takeout business. If you’re there on a Friday night and see a Jeep named Bigfoot, that’ll be us. Stop in and say hello.

The food was good; about 98% better than Thai Lotus! The broth of the pho was really good and the add ins were fresh. I like a little more beef and less meatball in my pho. The only thing that was off was the lemonade. It was a little off tasting and kind of brownish. At first I thought it was an Arnold Palmer. I will surely be back.

This is the Thai restaurant to go to in Long Beach. We went to the other one in town and left disappointed, this one on the other hand is now on our list of favorite places to eat. We'll definitely be regulars here!!
