The Spanish latte is divine. Honestly the best latte I've ever had -- the ratio was perfect ??I was very surprised to see a coffee shop like this in MS. I was actually driving from Austin and just needed to stop somewhere to work. Typically I only see upscale places like this in bigger cities like LA or Chicago or Houston. Loved the bright interior and work friendly cubby seating with outlets.Baristas were very welcoming and kind.

Tamper Specialty Coffee is a breath of fresh air in Mississippi's coffee scene, focusing on specialty single-origin brews that educate and delight. My experience with their V60 Kenya specialty coffee was exceptional—a perfect balance of fruity flavors and bold body. As a coffee roaster, I appreciate Tamper's uniqueness. They're setting the bar high and are, in my opinion, Mississippi's best. Can't wait to see what they brew up next!

Tamper is a jewel in the city of Madison. The atmosphere, coffee, and overall experience are carefully cultivated. All of the coffee and pastries are excellent! I have never left Tamper disappointed.

This is my second time around getting a drink at this coffee shop and will probably my last. I was given a gift card as a present to this establishment and it never seems to work at their point of sell device. They always have to manually type it in. However, my main issue with this coffee shop is that they do not serve dark roast drip coffee. I'm not a big fan of their light roast coffees and they only seem to have only one size option (small) for the price you pay. My other gripe (very subjective) is that this place has a very cold feel to it. There isn't much signage to explain what products they provide. Basically, you have to look down at their printed menu on the counter or talk to the barista. Plus, the place is quiet like a library with no music in the background. To me, not very appealing to me personally. On the positive side, the service is very good and the place is fairly quiet (perfect for students). I will give some slack since they are fairly new. Currently, I would not recommend this place unless you like pricey, light roast drinks with a cold atmosphere.

Just ok. Ordered a latte and a drip coffee. They didn't make a fresh pot of drip coffee until they delivered my latte. My husband and I were traveling and would have liked both at the same time. Not too much to ask from a coffee shop. My latte was tiny for $6. Wouldn't stop here again.

Tamper Specialty Coffee provides a delightful experience for coffee enthusiasts. The friendly and knowledgeable staff enhanced my visit by recommending a coffee tailored to my preferences. The spacious seating, intimate booth seating and appealing aesthetics create a comfortable ambiance. The standout pastries from a local patisserie, La Brioche, elevate the overall experience with their delectable flavors. Overall, Tamper Specialty Coffee stands out as a must-visit spot for both coffee connoisseurs and those seeking a cozy atmosphere in the Madison area.Parking: Close parking

I love Tamper Specialty! I have been here a few times while visiting family, and it is my new favorite in the Jackson area. The layout is perfect for studying or meeting up with a friend. Every cup of coffee I have gotten has been delicious. I am an avid coffee drinker, ex-barista, and enjoy visiting coffee shops all around the states - which is why I love that you can choose your bean preference. This place is a must try!

Went in for a gift card from my son to my husband because he likes to try new places and loves coffee. We got macarons and decided to try the seasonal Grinch latte. The barista explained about the choices of coffee to make the latte and answered my questions. They were kind when they had to get more change. The Grinch latte was delicious and the pastries and macarons from La Brioche were a nice touch. The place is clean and comfortable. I hope they stay, because we need something personal, something more than coffee chains in Madison and Tamper provided that.

My first time here and the atmosphere is great to do some work or just chat with friends. The Spanish latte is great for someone who likes a sweeter coffee. It was delicious with the condensed milk in it. The regular latte was also great. I really enjoyed the brioche bun with spinach and Swiss. I wish it was filled a little bit more. Overall, my experience was amazing and staff was kind.
