I highly recommend the bean parlor to anyone looking for a good cafe. The space is very open and clean with many different food and drink choices. The staff were all very nice and the drinks are clearly made with high quality ingredients and care!

We went to this coffee shop for.a change of pace from working from home. It's not the first time we've been here. however on this particular occasion, the food we ordered literally took 37 minutes. To be specific, we ordered a grilled cheese and a grit bowl... All other patrons that had arrived after us had received and eaten their food orders before we received our grilled cheese. We ended up leaving at the 40 minute mark being that there was no way we could take a call or hold a conversation in this place.Of course everyone experiences a slow day and there is nothing wrong with waiting for a meal while we work. However the rock and roll music that was playing was so loud that it was difficult to concentrate, and the best of noise cancelling headphone (Bose) still struggled to cancel out the music in the background. Many people go to coffee shops to just enjoy cups of coffee and if that is what you are looking for, try it out! Maybe you have an extra 40 minutes to burn for a grilled cheese. However if you want a place where you wish to hear what the person with you is saying or would like to make a phone call. You might want to consider another option in the area.Sidenote: The 36 minute grilled cheese was bland but the 38 minute grit bowl was good. those extra two minutes make all of the difference in the world! This seems to be a normal thing as there was no real apology or contrition upon handing over the delayed meal.Good luck!

They sell questionable items that are not for kids. Surprised Gluckstadt allows this. Used to get my business but not anymore.

For a coffee shop, I was so impressed with the breakfast food menu. Lots of healthy, savory options as well as sweets (which are made from scratch and delicious!) I got a breakfast bowl and a homemade strawberry pop tart. Both were great!! Service is impeccable. I had my hands full and the sweet barista offered to carry my food bag out to my car for me, as both my hands had a drink in them. I can’t say enough about both the quality of food they prepare as well as the service. Check them out!

There was no line when we arrived but we allowed the people behind us to go ahead as we were deciding on food. The lady working was really nice and slightly overwhelmed due to an employee emergency and they had to leave. She didn't let it slow her down. She did let people know it take just a little longer than normal but in reality it wasn't bad. The food and coffee were great and will definitely return again soon.

Stopped in to do a bit of work. Inside of the store is spacious with 6 tables, 4 bar seats, and a couch. Staff was friendly and eager to serve.Drip coffee was pretty much basic-plus drip coffee, nothing extraordinary, but good. The cinnamon twist was tremendous. I highly recommend that item!I do wish wall outlets were more readily available. Available only along periphery, and even then not many available.

Very cool trendy place. The coffee variety was good along with the food. This restaurant is located back off the main road. If I didn't have a "GPS" it would be a little difficult to find. I got the feeling that this place was the locals little secret. Keep up the hard work. I wish them much success.

Hidden gem!!!! Very nice local coffee shop! The staff is amazing. I had a latte and a protein bowl. They even had turkey sausage! My brother had a pressed sandwich and a smoothie. The food and coffee are amazing! The storefront was uniquely decorated and gave this coffee shop character and charm. I’ll definitely revisit them. Great food and great service!

First off, the staff and owner here are very personable and friendly and make for fun conversations. Their coffee is fantastic and the food is all fresh and made-to-order. Try out the breakfast bowl with half regular, half sweet potatoes and provolone cheese and I promise you will not be disappointed. On top of that, their pastries are delicious. This is the best coffee shop in the area by a mile.

Love this coffee shop. The employees are friendly, coffee and pastries are delicious and it’s generally a quiet place to hang out. One of my favorite places by far!

Amazing. Incredible service and delicious coffee. Cutest pastries too. They also have decaf cold brew which no one else has! So homey and cozy.

If you haven't been to The Bean Parlor in Gluckstadt yet, have you even lived?!The ladies here are some of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. Always smiling and making conversation with you. You can tell they actually enjoy where they work (how refreshing)! The owner also makes everything from scratch. And you can really taste the difference here versus the frozen, factory made stuff you get from other coffee shops. ☕You can taste the actual pastry for what it is and appreciate the small yet remarkable details, like the decadence of the chess squares, the flaky perfection of the cream cheese danishes, and the beautiful marriage of flavors in the scratch-made king cakes (2 slices pictured here). I personally appreciate the use of REAL ingredients instead of the usual inflammation-causing high fructose corn syrup, industrial seed oil, and artificial flavors and dyes. ?If you're running around with the kids and can't get out of the car, I believe they also have a curbside service where they'll bring it out to you so you don't have to sit in a long line somewhere else only to get your order made wrong by a grump! ?Laissez les bons temps rouler! ?
