The food, prices and staff are excellent. This the only Mexican restaurant I’ll eat at.Parking: Large parking lot with plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: Atmosphere is kid friendly. They also have a great kids menu for only $4.99, it comes with an entree with rice and beans.

They have a plate called the Little John it has a jalapeno peppers and carne asada, get some tortillas and make your own soft tacos excellent! also had the Carnitas meal really tender and flavorful, comes with rice and beans guac & sour cream also exceptional.Margaritas are okay but not great the mixed drinks are so so, but the beer is cold and good.

Ok We had my mother's 82nd birthday gathering at El sombrero Mexican Restaurant in McComb Mississippi. And what a great experience! The staff was a great deal of the reason for my five star rating. The food was REALLY good. This was the overall consensus of the nearly 30 good folks that were in our gathering. We had a great time at El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant. More importantly, My mom was elated! She had a great time. Its been a very log time since I'd seen her smiling and laughing as much as that evening. She expressed to me that. "This was the best birthdays I ever had". It made her statement even more touching because we recently lost my father. Her husband of 50+ years and this was her first birthday without him. I would like to thank all of the good people at El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant for making her special day a great memory for, I hope all that were in attendance. Regards Danny M.

The food was not good at all!. The chips tasted burned. The ground beef was almost runny and the drinks were watery. I usually enjoy Mexican cuisine but this definitely was not it!!. Will not be going again.

Never got my water with lemon even though I asked 4 times. House margarita has no tequila in it.. Had to ask if there was tequila & I was brought & charged for a shot?.... The chips tasteded liked they were fried in fish grease. The #55 was so sub par. When my dog won't eat the left overs I bring her that says Alot. Will never return!!

Based off my personal experience alone I would give this place a 1 star review, however I was with a group and I was the only person who had any real issue with their experience.I ordered the Chile Relleno dish which was supposed to consist of two Chile relleno peppers stuffed with cheese and fried as usual, served alongside tortillas, rice, and beans. I received my plate and immediately noticed the “peppers”looked odd so I opened them up and discovered that there were no actual peppers inside the 2 large blobs on my plate aside from the random sliver of pepper here or there and the large stem piece I removed. I’ve attached a photo to this review and it shows where I opened both “peppers” no bite was ever taken of this dish and this is what they served.. sad very sad for “Chile relleno”I waved the waitress down and simply asked her where the peppers were and she looked confused herself, I told her that I wasn’t wanting the dish and she nodded and left the table. She never removed the dish and even put it on the initial bill, we had to ask her to remove it as no part of the dish was tasted or eaten. I would suggest this business remove a dish that isn’t what it is supposed to be and to try to make things right with their customers but I felt like she avoided our table the remainder of the night. I had chips, salsa and queso for dinner, definitely not the Mexican cuisine I was looking forward to.The rest of our group enjoyed their meals.

First and last time eating here. Shrimp fajitas were really bad! Shrimp were over cooked but also tasted bad like they were not so fresh or maybe freezer burned? It was awful!

Poor customer service. Waited at hostess stand for 5 minutes, after asking to place a to-go order, only to be told that to-go orders are placed with the same person responsible for closing every customer’s ticket. The checkout line had grown by 15 people during that unnecessary 5-minute wait. Why not place to-go orders at the bar, or anywhere else not covered up by customers trying to checkout and leave? Terrible process. Poor overall. Won’t be back.
