I got the chicken on a stick meal and it was exceptional and very well cooked and prepared and the atmosphere as well as the service was overall pleasant and worth going back to.

Years ago, Penns use to be the best. But the last 10years, their catfish and service has gone down to ground zero. It use to be pieces of fish that you bit into fish. Now, it’s these small thin fried hard pieces that taste like nothing. Guess they changed vendors. And the staff is not friendly. Additionally, they have raised their prices and it’s not worth it. I use to go there maybe 2 or 3 times a week. Now, I may go once every 6 mos to a year.

The service was really good. Nice lady. I wish I could get bulk shrimp, but the large plate with side and no drink was $18. Love the food everytime. Especially good hush puppies.

The place was clean. The food was decent. Pricey for the quality and serving amount. It was our first time to eat at Penn's. We will not being eating there again. The staff was so unproffesional , talking amongst themselves loudly , not really concerned with the customers. The lady who took our order, acted as if she really didn't want to help and we felt like she really didn't want our business. Like we were a bother to her. I read reviews before we went , hoping we'd have a good experience as others did.
