“When I say EVERYTHING was DELISH!!!! I almost reached over and slapped my momma ????!!!!! The peach cobbler transported me back 40 years watching my grandmother make it in a large white tub. Ashley was the BOMB waitress. She was so attentive and sweet. I WILL NOT hesitate to stop here again. Darryl was ready to snatch that dirty plate when it was time to return to the heavenly bar. “This quaint little restaurant was a very pleasant experience from the food to the service. First I will start with the service we showed up with over 12 people at prime dinner hours and were quickly accommodated. Second and most importantly the food. We ordered a variety of appetizers all top notch but the big star was the steak! Cooked and seasoned perfectly. I would highly recommend making a trip to try it out for yourself you won't regret it!”

“5 starts since there is nothing around this place that is even close to compare. We would also go back. We just needed a pit spot but we past civilization and kids needed to pee and it was near lunch time (11a). The local sheriffs were eating here when we arrived. Bathroom was clean. Foodwise-Kids did not like the fried chicken tenders. BLT was good. Baked potatoes was very good. And fresh bread with butter was warm and delish. It got crowded with locals when 12p came around.”

“The best steak I have ever had! The server was super sweet. The sides were terrible but the steak made up for it. The corn on the cob was way over cooked and burnt and the baked potato was hard as a brick. The salad looked like it had been sitting too. The carrots had been shredded and were turning brown. I am not sure how you mess up sides that bad. I am hoping it was later in the evening and they had been sitting there, but once again the BEST STEAK I HAVE EVER HAD. I'd go back for sure because the meat tasted like steak used too! We also purchased some items from the gift shop including bones that my dogs loved.”

“Good American diner food and other southern classics. Staff was friendly and service was quick. I had the BLT and a bowl of soup. The diner coffee was good but they only had powered creamer. A solid quick stop. We were on and off the highway for lunch in less than 30 minutes.”

“We are passing thru town. The Best Western girls suggested Jose’s. The chips were the best we have ever had! The salsa tasted like homemade! I had Chimichanga and Hubby had steak and shrimp. Both were amazing! My Chimichanga was sooo good!! I am so full now and I didn’t quite eat all of it! The staff was very nice. Hubby has very severe allergies so we have to be very careful about oil, etc. The first server went and got help. Carlos came over and was very good at finding out about ingredients. He was very friendly….and checked on us often! We definitely will stop here again when headed to Gulf Shores!!”

“This is a great place and as is often the case, it was packed with hungry diners today. However, it didn't take long at all to get seated and get our food as they are accustomed to many people coming to the restaurant. The food is always wonderful, the owners are great people, and the customers are smiling from the atmosphere and having full and satisfied stomachs! By the way, I had the Philly Steak PoBoy and tater tots which I can highly recommend, but all the food is hot and delicious!”
