Was a little concerned initially about stopping at a non-franchised restaurant while traveling, but this was well worth the stop. The food was excellent, the service was great (the young man who took our order was very friendly and engaging, said he moved there from Nebraska), and the food was moderately priced. Will stop there again. They need some serious work done on their parking lot, monster pot holes everywhere.
Enjoyed this day with Best Friend I recommend this place to all travelers and in town to go and enjoy good food .

The place was a pig's time. The tables were sticky. Chairs were sticky. The floor was like walking on oil. I wiped up part of the table that I ate at and it turned the paper towel brown. that is sad.... Health department needs to be called in on these people. This place is really, really dirty.

Stopped by on our way home from AL because we have heard such great things. We walk in, the place is dirty and HOT. We waited at the counter to order for a solid 5 minutes before anyone said anything to us. The girl who finally placed our order was NOT friendly. She didn’t even put a fake smile on her face. We waited for 30 minutes in the hot restaurant before finally asking how much longer. They stated it would be an extra 10 minutes and I cancelled my order. I only cancelled because I ordered the catfish and chicken (which is what they are known for), had watched several others that had come in 10-15 minutes after me get their food already and the lack of customer service. The experience probably wouldn’t have been as bad if the employee wasn’t so rude and had actually had a personality. So we wasted 45 minutes and didn’t get another food.

Staying at the Hampton Inn right behind the restaurant. Don't rely on the Internet prices because there are several years old. But I must say, the prices are very reasonable. The food is delicious and plenty of it. I had the catfish platter and it came with 3 large filets, fries, cold slaw, and 3 hushpuppies. Well worth the $12,99 price. Delicious food.

Food was great. Facility was in desperate need of maintenance and a deep cleaning. The floors were grease slippery. Dining room was cold. Out of things like lids and cup tops. Menu prices on line were desperately out dated. But the food was really good.

Excellent spot right off of the freeway. Catfish was hot, crispy, and fresh. Perfectly cooked, nice and flaky, and not drowned in oil. The coleslaw was fantastic, most certainly homemade, as were the hushpuppies.On my two week trip across the southeast, this was one of the most memorable meals I had, and I dined at some restaurants well beyond $50/plate.
Ate here while staying at the hotel next door. Felt sick to my stomach within a couple of hours, all through the night and into the morning. Won't go back!

However, I would get them again, I think. Pretty great catfish here! My one complaint: y'all gotta fix up that parking lot outside! Too many potholes, I'm surprised I didn't leave with a flat tire!Would recommend, just make sure to bring a monster truck of sorts to deal with the potholes.

This place is the real deal! Having lived in southern Mississippi for a time I've had some catfish meals. For a place right outside the hotel it exceeded my expectations. Friendly staff as well!
