$17 for a drink and buffet. Very pleasant folks and great service but there are cheaper options for similar food quantity and quality. Good choice of your going to make multiple trips to the bar but other buffets are better choices if you want less food.

I used to come here almost every Friday with the guys from the office. 15lbs later I had to stop. While the seating area is large enough to fit every person with coveralls between here and Biloxi, the buffet bar isn't that large. Probably about 12+ hot items plus desserts and salad bar. While you may not get the variety that you would at a larger place, this allows them to keep the quality up. It's southern style so fried chicken is a must and very good. Having only gone on Fridays I didn't realize the items change depending on the day. Fridays always had fried fish and shrimp, plus steamed/boiled shrimp in addition to said chicken. Going on a Thursday this time, it was chicken and pork chops, which were huge and gone almost as fast as they put them out. The hot sides change too, I enjoyed the butter beans I had not previously tried. Hush puppies and potatoes, corn etc for fish fridays. The fried green tomatoes are always good. I did know the deserts change and don't know what I was putting in my mouth but it tasted as good as it looked. Salad bar is only there to help push things along. I usually just drink water but got unsweetened tea this time, which was really weak and should've saved myself that $2. They don't have fountain drinks, just cans, so no free refills on pop.

We have eaten at Heritage House many times. It has the best home cooking around. All my grandkids ask to go there all the time. Very good people. It deserves 5 stars all around!

The food here was fine. Not exceptional, not great but not bad either. The fried chicken was a little cold and light on flavor. The fried okra and fried green tomatoes were good. Cheese and broccoli was a little sad. $17 was a little steep but mainly because I only went through the buffet once.

It has really gone down. Half the food is still good while half is passible, if hungry. The service is horrible. Before you even finish your salad, you are handed your ticket and promptly ignored.

What a disappointment. Terrible atmosphere. Worse food. Sure had this one built up in my mind. Too bad. This kind of "cooking" is certainly not my heritage.
