Fried fish and shrimp are nasty. They are oily and the batter is brown. Tastes like old oil. Very disappointing.

First off our server Gabby was great. Other than that, the catfish, the hush puppies, the sweet tea was all trash. The catfish was extremely fishy and had the skin left on it. The hushpuppies were drier than the Sahara desert. The sweet tea was like water with a splash of tea. Will not be back and do not recommend.

I worked here for a little less than a year and I can tell you that the food is amazing!! And everyone who works there tries their best to make the customers happy and satisfied! My favorite thing to get is the fried pickles and the large fried shrimp plate with fries!! They also bring you out complementary homemade biscuits with the best apple jelly!! I highly recommend eating here! The restaurant building itself is a really old house and it is very cool to learn about what room used to be what before it was a restaurant! They are very relaxed and friendly!

New to the area and thought for sure this restaurant would be a mainstay for many years to come. The online images, the building, the general vicinity, gives the impression it will be incredible. Unfortunately, considering I had several guests in town, I would have settled for "good". But, it was awful....truly, awful. The table was filthy, stuck in an incredibly cold corner, terrible service (laughingly bad), and horrible food. The chicken was hard as a rock, dry, tasteless. Cole slaw was small with no flavor. The sweet potato was undercooked and we had to ask 3 times for condiments. Staff was surly, unfriendly, seemed annoyed with basic requests. The dessert was a big glob of yellow goo and, for the 3 of us who ordered the pudding, 2 of us took one bite and stopped eating. It was straight out of a can (I could see the lines from the can) and they had run out of whipped cream so they gave a tiny dollop to the slop on the dish. It was laughingly bad. Only good thing to come out of this visit is knowing where NOT to go in the future and to tell friends and family in the area where to avoid.

I'm very disappointed in Aunt Jenny's. We called ahead to insure that they didn't fry their chicken and fries in the same grease as their fish and shrimp because we have a food allergy in our family. The lady on the phone said no that they were not so we traveled from Gulfport to OS to dine in. We get there and we order and notice that the fries look like they have corn meal on them so we ask again about the foods being fried in the same grease. Our waitress didn't know if they were and went and ask the kitchen staff. She came back and said that they did fry the fries in the same grease as the fish. We ask for a different side not thinking that anything was wrong with the chicken. She comes back and now tells us the chicken was also fried in the fish grease. Now, this is after we called ahead and were told that these foods would be fried separately. Our daughter is anaphylaxis. This could have literally sent her to the hospital or killed her. This is unacceptable and I do not recommend Aunt Jenny's restaurant. The waitress actually tried to lay blame on us not telling her and when we told her we called ahead she simply said oh and went to talk with someone. No manager ever came to check on us, and apology was ever given. The lady that spoke to my wife over the phone said she didn't know that they did fry the foods in the same grease yet you told us over the phone that you don't. Highly disappointed and a bit angry. Do not recommend!!!

Take out order. My chicken was so old and dry and almost burnt I could not even eat it. .this is not aunt Jenny’s I remember. Also said on line it is 12.50 yet I paid 16$ cash. Could had got better food at canes. What a shame I always raved on this place. Not even worth going back too. Feb 11 2024at 2 pm.

Had lunch in a perfect bayou ambiance. We all chose the Senior Plate which was perfect portions. The homemade buttermilk biscuits and homemade jelly started us off. Our RV traveling buddy had catfish and fries. My husband had fried chicken drumsticks and fries. I had fried shrimp, hushpuppies and sweet potato that came with cinnamon sugar on the side. Very friendly staff. Beautiful scenery of the bayou and ancient live oaks. A steak house is right next door as well. Note: A 3% fee for credit cards so cash is king. This place has been featured in Southern Living and we can see why!! A must if in Ocean Springs, MS
