For all the recommendations I read about this place, it did not live up to its hype. Caesar salad tasted like a bag salad, the red wine was warm, and we were a little rushed by the server. The crab cakes were tasty, as was the roasted cauliflower, but the veal chop and fish of the day were very underwhelming for the price.

Small but excellent selection of fish, beef,pork and lamb, cooked to perfection. Very comfortable dining room, covered patio and outdoor patio with fireplace. A perfect place for a great meal with friends.

We arrived about 30 minutes before lunch service stopped, it was busy but we were told there was space on the back patio. The atmosphere there was quiet and peaceful. Our waiter was busy but awesome. Acknowledged we were there and asked if we could be patient. It was a few minutes as he delivered to other tables but then he patiently answered our questions, made a few recommendations and truly set the tone and mood for a wonderful afternoon dining experience.The food arrived surprisingly quickly, was nice and flavorful from the asparagus bisque soup to our local seafood entrees. After a bit, he encouraged us to try desert so we shared one and thoroughly enjoyed it.We'll gladly return on our next visit to Ocean Springs ?

Forgot to post ! But Maison De Lu was great! Very quaint and elegant. The food was a 10/10! I was finally able to take my wife on an actual date night since the baby has been born. Major shout out to Ryan Jurich for being one of a kind with the flowers and setup! Also Jose Garcia busted out a tasty wellers old fashioned for me & it was perfect. Go visit them when you can, you won't be disappointed!(I don't pull my phone out at dinner so I didn't get snaps of the food. But I got the flowers that the owner of the restaurant got for us!)Also try the crab cakes & the hangar steak medallions (make sure to add the Gorgonzola)

Classy restaurant setting with delicious casual lunch dining. Started with the Goat Cheese Torte, ordered grilled chicken sandwiches with onion, and finished with the Frozen Lemon Icebox. Everything was flavorful and unique. Our server was timely and friendly. Highly recommended for a lunch in Ocean Springs.

Last night's service was definitely slower than usual. 2 large parties took up Most of the dining room. So it was louder than usual too. The marinated crab claws were swimming in the sauce. No flavor of crab and mouthfuls of marinade. Wine selection was good. Trout was ok. I added the special butter to my filet mignon and it didn't add much flavor. We've been before and it was great, but this time they weren't on their A game.
The absolute best restaurant in Ocean Springs for Filet Mignon! The fish specials are delicious. You will have a tough time selecting an appetizer, because they are all fantastic! The "front of the house" staff's friendliness equals the 'back of the house:" staff's talent and skill in the kitchen. Together, they make Maison De Lu THE place to dine!

After our previous visit, the restaurant's owner reached out to us personally to express his apologies for the poor quality of food and service we had received. He also provided a gift card for us to use if we chose to give Maison de Lu another chance. And we did! We dined there on a Wednesday evening, and had made reservations for a table outside. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate (it was very windy), so they were unable to sit us next to the outdoor fireplace as planned. Regardless, we were given an outdoor table in a more protected area, but it was still quite breezy. The outdoor gas-fired heaters made it cozy just the same. Our waiter ended up being the owner, and he treated us extremely well for the entire length of our stay. He (Ryan) spent a great deal of time telling us about the history of the restaurant, and the story behind how he ultimately became its owner. My husband ordered the Hanger Steak with a wonderful Bleu Cheese Sauce, and I had the brine infused Pork Chop. Both dinners were served hot (which was not the case on our previous visit), and were excellent. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to give this fine restaurant the type of review we had read about it several months in advance of our trip to Ocean Springs!

Absolutely worth every penny! The service was incredible, with staff calling twice to confirm we were on our way (we were late due to a flat tire) and to hold our reservation. Servers were attentive and quick to suggest alternatives for food allergies, but left us alone to dine and didn't smother us with attention. Drinks were wonderful, the food was delicious with very generous portion sizes, desserts and appetizer were amazing. This place is absolutely a must visit for dinner!
