Food was average, not a lot of taste. Atmosphere was awesome and enjoyed inside/outside experience. Service, for a Tuesday, not so great. Hate to say the waitress apologized several times for not being very attentive. I am glad I went once and won’t go back.Update response: I ate on a Tuesday and filled out the review after the fact. That’s how I was able to fill out a response on a “Monday” after I visited there. Second, I had the Village Salad, with both chicken and gyro. I grew up on authentic Greek food and in my experience, this food lacked flavor. Further, the gyro meat was mushy, and the chicken was good and tasted like chicken, just not very flavorful. I’m sorry if this review upset you and/or was met with a defensive response. I was just being honest and sharing my tastebud’s opinion.

Got seated immediately on a busy Saturday evening. No wait! The 3 dip appetizer was a really yummy shareable dish. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because when my dinner came out, my fish was cold. Plus the restaurant itself is pretty expensive. Overall a very good option.

We had a wonderful catering experience with OPA! We ordered Chicken Gyro Rice Bowls, Falafel Wraps, and Cottage Fries. The tzatziki sauce was prepared separately as requested and that made the experience even better. The order was delivered on time and everything tasted great! It’s just that they charge for tableware/utensils per person unlike other restaurants in town.

Great food, way better than the other "greek" restaurant in town. They actually marinate their chicken and the tzaziki isn't runny! As close to authentic as you'll get in Mississippi. They have a really nice cocktail/bar and outside patio area.Edit: two years later and the quality has gone wayyyyyyyyy down. One word to describe the food for the price is "ehh". Lackluster for sure.

First time there and had a great experience! It has a cool vibe with plenty of room for larger parties. I have a gluten allergy and had the warm club sandwich wrapped in lettuce. It was divine!!!! My family enjoyed the freta fritters, chicken flatbreads and salmon entree. We ALL loved the food!! Super friendly people and great service. Food that looks good IS good just look at my sandwich......GO TO OPA!!!Dietary restrictions: Offers a Gluten free option - Lettuce wrap instead of bread. Note:They fry everything in one fryer if you have other allergies.Parking: Easier to park behind restaurantKid-friendliness: Great atmosphere

I've tried several things and it always leaves me unsatisfied. I have tried their chicken in different ways and in different days. It always tastes old and re-cooked. Their rice is greasy every time.

Awful! After waiting 20 mins for chicken kabob to be cooked. Server came and said she needed to take it back as the chicken was from the wrong batch. I asked what that meant and she said it's about to expire. My daughter had already eaten some and said it tasted awful and couldn't eat it.Will not be returning

We took a group of 19 in for lunch on Black Friday and they accommodated us with top notch hospitality! We did call ahead, so they were expecting us. Our server was so kind and patient and the space was perfect for our large group that included ages 1-77! Our out of town family thought it was perfect and we were happy to have a wonderful family meal in Oxford. Highly recommended.

Really wanted to love this place! We have been here three times and each time the service was slow and the food took SO long to get to our table. The food is wonderful once it actually gets to your table, but service is just so slow.

I came here to eat with my wife on Oct 24th. She wanted to eat Mediterranean food and I was able to find this restaurant. Very disappointed in the experience. We came at 3 pm and there were no other customers at the time. We went to the counter and told them that we were dining in and chose to be seated indoors. The guy at the counter seated us and was also our server. Worst server ever. They need to give him some more training. He was a polite server don't misunderstand me, but his service was terrible. He never checked on us at the table after we were seated. 10 minutes later my wife had to flag him down to just place the appetizer. After he brought the appetizer, he never checked on us again so we could not even ask for additional pita points for our hummus trio that we ordered as we ran out. The server even walked through the lobby from the kitchen to the back and didn't bother to stop by to check on us, and we were seated right next to the kitchen. We again had to flag the waiter down to place our main order and asked for the additional pita points for the hummus. And again after the server brought us our food, he was nowhere to be seen again to check on us for refills or if we needed anything. Close to the end of our meal in passing, he actually stopped to ask if we needed anything and I was finally able to ask for a refill for my drink that I had been needing. If this is an example of there service when they are empty, I hate to see what it is like when they are busy.As for the food the hummus trio was ok. My wife and I found each of them on the sweeter side, but there was this all spice in a shaker on the table, we added some on top and mixed it in to balance it out.My wife got the veggie gyro with falafel and I got the chicken club with mushroom and tazieki sauce instead of the honey mustard that came with it.We found both of our gyros to be very greasy. It would have been nice if the chicken in my gyro was chopped up a bit more. It had large chunks which made it a little difficult to get a nice consistent bite. Wife said the falafels in her gyro were good, but the greasiness was a little to much for her to finish. The cottage fries were delicious and go great with the hummus. It says that the pita points come toasted or fried, but they were pretty flimsy, like it was just warmed. The quality of the pita was good!I have mixed feelings about coming back, but that server definitely needs training.

I really truly hate to leave bad reviews for places, but I was just so disappointed with my last visit to Opa. Their food is so good, and I ALWAYS recommend it to my friends and to others who ask for a great place for lunch. Unfortunately, my last visit, as good as the food was, the service was very poor. I was seated very quickly, and when I was seated the service was initially quick. We got our appetizer quickly, which was great! But stuff happens, and I think my food was made incorrectly, because they took longer to bring our dishes out. I totally understand, but our server only offered a half hearted apology. Its not her fault and Im not faulting her for the mistake on the food, but when it eventually did make it to our table, she said nothing and just set it at our table. After that, I didn't see her again. I had to go back to work; and it was taking a very long time to get a bill and leave. Keep in mind, there was only me and my partner, and one person at the bar at this time. It was mid afternoon, and I saw most of the staff over by the back end of the restaurant watching TV. I kept trying to get someone's attention, but everyone was ignoring me, to the point I had to get up and go to the bar up front and ask the bartender to get me my bill. When he managed to find our server, she regarded me like **I** was an inconvenience, and when she presented me with the bill she handed it to me with a laugh instead of any kind of "sorry about that" or anything. No words. Just plainly laughed at me, or at something, I dont know. Either way, I was highly upset with the experience and left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.TLDR;Amazing food but the staff was too busy chatting with each other and watching TV to serve me correctly.
