Toyo is consistently good. Anytime my family wants Asian food this is the place we choose in Oxford.

Previously left a 5 star review because this is one of my favorite places to eat. I placed a to-go order for me and my husband this evening and he usually gets the Toyo for 1, which comes with steak, chicken, and shrimp. The dish we received had no chicken on at all (see photo). The salmon and rice I received were dry. Additionally, because the bowls the soups were in weren't closed properly, they spilled all over everything else in the bag and in my car. We love this place, so the experience we had this evening was really disappointing.

While I was in town visiting my Mom and step-dad they wanted to take me out for dinner. They suggested Toyo. We decided to go for the hibachi side and enjoyed watching while they cooked the food in front of us. It was so much food we took the leftovers home and got to enjoy it the next night. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere was delightful. I recommend you go check it out for a fun evening out!
I ordered the vegetable soup and the veggie spring rolls. The vegetables in the soup were rather large. The soup had a good taste, but I added quite a bit of the seasoning they bring you. This helped it tremendously by giving it a little spice. The spring rolls were okay. Im going to say they are not made fresh, but that’s just my opinion. They could easily do a handmade one with fresh veggies, but not many places do this that I’m aware of. They tasted like any other frozen spring roll you buy anywhere. We went for our office Christmas party. The service was great, and everyone seemed pleased with their food. The table was very clean, as well as the silver ware and plates and bowls. I am a diabetic so I opted out of the traditional meal with the rice. The three stars on the food is specifically for what I ordered, not my coworkers. They all seemed very pleased with theirs.

This was my 3rd time eating at Toyo in Oxford, Mississippi, and my first 2 experiences were great. The food has been excellent in the past, but this time was drastically different. To begin, my friend and I’s food came out completely wrong the first go around. I ordered the hibachi steak dinner with NO vegetables, and it came with vegetables. My friend ordered the hibachi steak and chicken dinner and they gave her shrimp. They took it back, and we received what we originally ordered. Within the first bite, we both looked at each other and asked if each other's steak was cold and we both said “yes.” I began cutting my steak in half because the pieces were too big, and quickly realized it was way undercooked. I always order “medium rare,” but the steak almost appeared purple in color. The manager was actually the one who brought us out the wrong food the first time and said, “wow this was totally wrong” as he walked away. I asked to speak with the manager and the same guy came back, and I explained the problem to him. He was not very apologetic, and I was carrying the whole conversation to try and reach a solution. He offered a discount on our meals, and I was baffled when I received the tab and saw 15% off, which was a little over $3.00 taken off of my total. In all, I spent $24.05 without tip on a meal that I didn't even eat. I expressed my concerns, and the manager did not address the situation like I had hoped. I am also a college student, so I only treat myself to these types of expensive dinners on occasion, so the fact I wasted that much money on a meal that I didn't eat is very disappointing. Overall, the issue was not handled appropriately, and I did not appreciate how I was treated with this matter.

They are SO good and make sure to keep my food away from shellfish (allergic) and never make it seem like it is an issue.Dietary restrictions: They go above and beyond to make sure that there is no shellfish cross contamination.

My daughter and I went tonight and had a lovely time together. We had a shrimp crunch roll, commodore, edamame, the yummy yummy roll, and the best thing...the yum yum salad. That was absolutely fantastic.
