Best hibachi around for your money. You don't get the experience of watching it cooked in front of you. But the prices are way cheaper than any other hibachi place. I drive from Grand Bay, AL just to get my Yamatos.

Most disgusting food ever I wouldn’t even feed my dogs that! They was slow for about noon service sucked and way over priced if you want amazing food go to ichiban in ocean springs you wont be disappointed and a one was nice but I wont be going

Nicer than a takeout place but not as fancy as a hibachi restaurant. Interior is nice enough for a date night. I only had sushi, again nothing super fancy. It's been awhile since I've been to a restaurant with the big cans of Sapporo. The sushi was good, a little too heavy on the spicy mayo. And it might be by design, but it was odd there was no tofu in my miso soup. I'd like to try their rice and noodles next time.

I've had such bad experiences with other Japanese steakhouse not being worth the price but Yamato has a special place in my heart, It's my boyfriend and I's favorite place we get it at least once a month. I definitely recommend the steak fried rice with yum yum. The owner has done such a good job of keeping it consistently delicious!!
