My first thought was, where are the parents. Service definitely needs improvement, staff looked lost and confused.Food was mediocre at best. I mean it was okay for the munchies but definitely not where it needed to be for a grand opening. They are going to have to work harder to make this place work and I sure hope they do.

It was a very nasty place there was water all over the floor by the salad bar that was empty except for gross food absolutely no for now dessert no meat everything Was disgusting!!!!!!Workers were standing around talking instead of filling the salad bar which was only option in the place!!!!!Had to ask for our silverware!!!!!!Which I wish I'd never used!!!!!!!

Stopped for breakfast. There was 1 disinterested server and the cook. The buffet was picked over and wasn't replenished. There was a problem with the steam table and the floor was flooded. Two pans of water sat in the floor through our entire meal. I always wonder if the person that put up the money for a business like this is aware of what's being done to their investment.

Very disappointed, as this use to be a childhood favorite place of mine. When I arrived, several of the servers looked in my direction and never even bothered to say just a moment or I'll be right with you. I had to ask twice about being seated. Finally after being seated, I went to get my food and I was very displeased with what I saw. Nothing was fresh and a few of the items were burnt. I asked if fresh food was going to be brought out. Let's just say, I didn't even bother to stay after I received an attitude from the manager about the question I asked.

We were the only customers. The food had been setting for a while but they did fresh some items up before we left. When we go ready to go, I asked the waitress for a tea to go. She said that it was $1.00 for a to go cup. I told her no thank you that we weren't going to pay for a cup after paying for two meals. We had went there two weeks ago and didn't pay extra for a cup. I will not be going back!!

My family and I were visiting down from Chicago and all we can say is mmmm mmmmm! Not only was the food delicious, the hospitality was A1. I would greatly recommend this restaurant for breakfast , lunch, or dinner. My favorite personally was the sausage, ham, peach cobbler, and cinnamon sticks. My daughter could not get enough of them and the waitress was so gracious enough to give her a personal to go box with a couple sticks inside. Those personal touches makes us appreciate southern hospitality. Thank you all for such a great experience, see you all next time :-)!

TERRIBLE!! Do not waste your time and money here.My family visited on a Saturday morning around 9:15.The first two plates we picked up were dirty. Food was not stocked for the buffet. We had to wait for gravy and when it was brought out it was cold. We sat in the patio area and the music was so loud we could not hear each other. We asked the manager to turn it down as did another couple dining two tables from us and were told they could not turn it down. The server never refilled our beverages. Not a good experience and I would not recommend this location.

CANT KEEP ENOUGH FOOD ON THE BUFFET FOR THE AMOUNT OF CUSTOMERS . FROM THE MINUTE WE WALKED IN BUFFET WAS EMPTY AND STAYED THAT WAY OUR ENTIRE VISIT! MY HUSBAND AND I COULDN'T EVEN ENJOY OUR MEAL DUE TO HAVING TO GET UP AND DOWN SO MUCH TO EVEN GET A PLATE TO HAVE SOMETHING TO EAT. MUSIC WAS SUPER LOUD! WILL NOT BE BACK ! Now I'm not the type of person to lie in these reviews, I speak only on my personal experiences. With that being said, I'm a delivery driver and a few months ago when I saw they were remodeling the Shoney's in pearl, I told my wife we would go. PEOPLE, it was the biggest disappointment ever. I honestly told the manager as I was paying for our food that they need another cook. Everything was half cooked, rice was crunchy, fish was so soggy it fell apart when you picked it up and once you picked your way through all the skin on the chicken there was blood inside. I told the manager I would not be returning so if anyone goes and it's better let me know. Sorry Shoney's but you get a ZERO STAR ???
