They don’t serve gumbo, even though that’s their “famous” dish that they have on the menu.To clarify, they didn’t say they were out. They said they don’t serve it.

The atmosphere was a welcome home-y type feel, and the staff was warm and friendly. We had a group of 8 and we all tried a variety of dishes. The fried fish and shrimp were very good, you could tell everything was fried right when ordered. The seafood bisque was good, but a bit oily. We were disappointed to discover they were out of Gumbo today. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here and will return next time we are passing through to try the Gumbo!

Home cooking at its best with a laid-back atmosphere. Plenty of parking. Prices are very reasonable.

Service was good when we arrived. We were seated immediately and our order was taken. The onion rings appetizer came out quickly and they were definitely made in house. Fresh onions and hand battered, nicely seasoned. Huge portion. The only problem was the dipping sauce.. it was sour and gooey. I almost gagged and had to spit it out. Fortunately the onion rings were not in need of sauce. Our entrees arrived before we could get even halfway through the onion rings. But that was a good thing otherwise we would have been too full to eat. The chicken fried steak was big and cooked perfectly, nice and crispy, with a nice white gravy. The mashed potatoes and green beans were good, but nothing to write home about. The bread, however, was a disaster. I don't know if it had been microwaved, or what, but I could not even bite through it. I put it aside immediately. Once we finished our meal it took a little while to get our server back to the table to bring a takeout box for the onion rings. We'll be back but I'll be cautious about tasting the onion ring sauce and bread.

The Cajun food was as authentic and delicious as it gets. This place is the real deal. We almost drove off because the outside looked like an old abandoned building. I'm sure glad we didn't. If you are ever in the area this place is a must.

We've gone here multiple times, each time hoping for the best. They always disappoint. Today was it, 3 chicken salads (lettuce, cucumbers, chicken), Adult chicken (3 strips and Mashed potatoes), 1 order of fries, 4 drinks. over $50. I'll keep driving to the restaurant by UBC. Great, attentive service, better food, and a heck of a lot cheaper.

Been here often. Authentic fresh food. This is not fast food but your food comes out very quickly and fresh every single time. I have never had a bad dish. Everything is flavorful pricing is on point service is friendly and works hard to ensure you enjoy your visit. 10/10 would recommend.

Food is edible but this isn't Cajun. I'm from the Acadiana area and this is "southern" food with Cajun influence at best. Presentation was not good, no one should eat food that looks like this because authentic Cajun food doesn't look like this.
