The food is visually pleasing but thats it ordered a steak and lobster medium rare steak came as a tiny scrap of burnt meat and the lobster smelt funky wasted 71 dollars just for everyone at table only to be able to stomach the rice and the 2 other people that came with me also woke up with stomach pains all threw out the night after the bento boxes

A Perfect Gloomy Loomy
It's a really good, simple Japanese restaurant. The sushi was great, and the bento boxes are really nice. Could be a little more lively in there, but there is overall quality and affordable food here!

My son and I ate here tonight. The server was excellent, she took the time to talk to him about sushi because he wanted to try some. The food arrived quickly and was pretty good. I’m not very familiar with Japanese food but it was nice to have something different to eat. It was an exotic experience for a Poplarville restaurant.

This is my second time eating here, and it was disappointing. The sushi was dry and flavorless, I ordered the filet mignon hibachi and they brought ribeyes! When asked, we were told that's their filet. The fried rice was bland. I hope they get better, or they won't last long in Poplarville?

First time to this restaurant. It was very disappointing. Miso soup was good. That was the peak of the meal. The rolls were dry and lacked flavor. I ordered the filet mignon hibachi. I received two pieces of an unidentifiable steak (the kind you find at the discount rack at the supermarket). They said this was their filet. I ordered the chicken in its place. The chicken was dry and fried rice was flavorless. My wife's chicken hibachi was the same. I understand this is ownership's first time running a restaurant. I can find no reason to go back and give them another chance.

I've given this place a couple tries now really hoping for improvement but unfortunately no change as far as the hibachi goes. The rice is bland and was even undercooked once, the chicken was dry. The yumyum sauce helped except the time the rice was undercooked. My husband enjoyed his sushi at least, and it was nice to have some soup on a cold day.
I realize poplarville does not have much and so some are happy this is here. We were too till we ate there. But I would rather save my money and go to a real hibachi grill. Clear soup didn’t taste clear soup. It was just broth. Food was ok. If you order a hibachi plate there’s no yum yum sauce to go with the steak and shrimp. Steak was overcooked. Why ask me how I want it cooked if your gonna just cook it to well done? Service was ok. Not great. I had friends and family that wanted to go here but after I told them it’s just a redneck hibachi and too expensive for just me and my 2 sons, no ones really excited about it.
