It was obvious we weren’t real welcome for reasons unknown (maybe our dress attire), when owner got back from wherever he gave us a look like no other (like who said y’all could come in) food was extremely overpriced and not that good (my wife ordered tamales, so salty she could eat, they did say sorry, but that’s it), I still gave 20% tip, will not be back!

We tried this place for the first time tonight and it did not disappoint. My husband had the ribeye and I had the filet. Both were fantastic and cooked perfectly. The service was beyond excellent. We never ran out of drink and were checked on multiple times by staff. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend this restaurant. Worth every penny!

Apparently they just cook your steak they way they want to cook it and not what you tell them. I received a ribeye burned on the outside and bloody on the inside and you send it back to the kitchen to cook some more which burns it to a shingle. The heat must have been up to high.They said they can’t butterfly a petite filet 40 minutes after placing the order but they can on the next size up so you have to order next size up. Everybody else can butterfly a 6 oz filet.They are accustomed to bringing out rare bloody steaks, when you ask for well or medium well done they look at you funny and act like it throws the kitchen in a tailspin to request such.The salad and potato were average not what you would expect with a $50 steak. You can’t ask what the ingredients are in the crab stuffed mushrooms because it’s a heavily guarded secret, well I don’t think there was much crab in them at all and that’s why we asked what was in them, we didn’t want your recipe. No lump crabmeat at all. Very unusual for stuffed mushrooms.Overrated and a waste of $100! And who wants to sit by a big screen TV and listen to loud patrons screaming their lungs out over a football game. Everything about this location ruins the name and reputation of the original restaurant.

Not only were the Steaks amazing !! The owners and staff were top notch , engaging and attentive . We will def be back. The Pecan pie def finished off a delicious meal. Lemon drop martini on point also. Since I didn’t take pics of food here’s my kids at Doe’s.

We both had the ribeye here and it was the best I've ever had!! And I've had many. The owners and overall experience left such a great impression on us that we intend to fly to Jackson again in large part just to eat here again. I wish I could remember their names - the absolute nicest people - and funny. She was trying salmon she had cooked but hadn't put it on the menu. The steak was so charred all you could taste was the burnt outside. I ordered a medium steak. It's not impossible to cook medium steak without burning the outside. Sent it back to the kitchen and the cook was yelling "well what does she want then?!"
