We pulled up and parked in the handicap parking in front of the doors of the restaurant. We’ve visited this restaurant several times (admittedly it’s been a while since the last visit). We had a very clear view of the door there was no sign indicating closing. I got out my vehicle into my wheelchair and rolled to the door only to find the doors locked and a sign indicating they were closed from 3 to 5…it was 2:35! I rolled back to my vehicle got out of my wheelchair back into my vehicle and called the restaurant. A woman answered and I asked why they just didn’t come to the door and tell us they were needing to close when they saw my wife bring my wheelchair around? She first said she didn’t see us. When I told her I know that she did she then said something came up and they had to close early…so which was it? And if “something come up” why make use come all the way to the door just to find the doors locked and a sign that wasn’t there when arrived. Either this place was discriminatory to us as Black or me as a wheelchair user. Either way I suggest you not patronize this establishment…we won’t and I’ll be suggesting to everyone I know to do the same. At the very least they are lazy so why would I want to eat their food?

To be fair, I've only had one dish here but it keeps me coming back! The red beans and rice is the best in the whole metro area. I'm not even a big red beans n rice fan, but that's how good this dish is. The staff are very friendly and personable. Food comes out hot and fast. Really unique mardi-gras-style atmosphere. Give it a try, you'll be glad you did.

You now have to order and pay for your food at the front door before you sit at your table. Should you would like another beer, then you will have to pay again. No waitresses and no full service bar. First Fat Tuesdays that I have been to with no daiquiri service.

Fun place! Great personnel! Had lunch with bunch of great friends of my dad!
Love this place. People are great and attentive to your needs. We feel very comfortable when dining here, not stuffy. The food is authentic and delicious, with nice portions. You will not leave hungry.

Food is always good and there's a good variety of New Orleans food here. Very authentic taste, real French bread and the best seafood

We were the second ones to get there for lunch and had to wait over an hour to get our food. They didn't have gumbo or roast beef poboys. The food was very disappointing. The appetizer came out with the rest of the food. I only had six little shrimp on my half poboy. The cup of red beans were just okay. The tartar sauce, comeback, fried mushrooms and onion rings were pretty good. Everyone was nice enough but it was a very disappointing experience. We will not be going back.

All 3 orders, which took 1 hr and 20 minutes to be served for us were wrong..No apologies were offered . When it was delivered, the portion was so small that we asked if there was a mistake. The owner said no, " This is what you get " and went back to the front. Again, no apology or offering to make amends for poor service and dissatisfaction . She just did not seem to care. We will not return.
