This is my favorite restaurant by far in all of the Jackson area. Not only does the filet a melt in your mouth but, from the moment you sit down the standard has been raised. The tables are not stacked on top of each other. There are privacy walls so you can enjoy the conversation at your table. The service has never been anything but, very professional. From the wine list to the filet to the dessert. I am never left wanting more.

There are many imitators but only one original! MM Shapley's continues its long tradition of excellent food, superior service and warm atmosphere. We enjoyed on Valentine's Day meal, brought home plenty of food for another couple of meals and the staff was displayed their usual engaging, well-timed service. If you want a superb steak, consistently delicious food and an enjoyable experiment, MM Shapley's is THE place to dine.

We celebrated Valentine's Day on the 13th since the next day was Ash Wednesday. it was very crowded in the lobby and bar when we walked in but we were greeted and shown to our table very quickly. Our server Suzannah, came over and greeted us and took our drink orders which were delivered in a short period of time. We selected our entrees and had ample time to chat before our salads were delivered. Our entrees of Grilled Redfish w/ Crabmeat (mine) and Grilled Tuna (Wife) were delivered piping hot along with a side of Creamed Spinach which we shared. We shared a bread pudding for dessert. Food and service was excellent!!!

Everything about the experience was great — it always has been when we dine at Shapley's. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. Each table has a partition around it, so the noise is tolerable even when the restaurant is packed. Our server was efficient, polite and attentive. And the food was delicious. We had beef tips and lamb chops. Both were seasoned well. The beef tips were ordered med rare but came out about medium; we are typically ok with medium or medium rare. Beef tips are several pieces of a smaller cut and I think it's harder to get each of them to a perfect temperature. Anyway, they were still tender and tasty, and so was the lamb.

Shapley's is one of the best Steakhouses in the country. The services is excellent and the food is always delicious. I live in Indianapolis and make it a point to eat at Shapley's every time I come into town. The staff is always welcoming and the atmosphere is pleasant. It is truly an excellent dining experience!

Best restaurant in MS. Superb steaks cooked to perfection. My husband absolutely loved the fried oyster appetizer, he said he didn't use the sauce because the taste of the oysters was perfect. Our waiter was delightful, prompt but not overbearing. This is our go to restaurant whenever we visit Jackson. Oh and please keep the brussel sprouts on the appetizer menu.
Excellent food, I stop by anytime I am traveling in the area.

My first and only “blind” date was at Shapleys. Thirty two years married and the food is just as wonderful. I tried for the first time the stuffed shrimp though I normally get the beef tips with the creamed spinach which is delicious as I typically don't like spinach dishes.It was a winning combination with the pasta which is so good! . My husbands meal was cooked to perfection as he had steak. There was more than enough food for each of us to take home after splitting a wedge salad and tamales .There were three tamales but quite filling equally as tasty. We love Shapleys on the rare occasions we get to go. It is my favorite nice restaurant in town, and we love we can actually talk and hear one another even with other tables nearby. Thanks for the memories Mary and Mark Shapley! It would he hard to beat perfection.
