The service was excellent and professional! The food was fresh and portions were huge! The food was served in appropriate order with time to enjoy appetizer without having to rush. The atmosphere was friendly, welcoming and very clean especially with the amount of customers they service. This was a very pleasant dining experience!

The service was excellent, the food fresh and delicious!! We are vegan and got the veggie fajitas and had them hold the cheese and sour cream. By far the freshest vegetables cooked to perfection! We also had an appetizer of guacamole which was served with carrot sticks and jicama. The veggies with the guacamole was such a great combination! Dakota was our server and was very polite and attentive. If we lived here we would be regulars!

I've been here twice in the last year while visiting for business and the service, food, and atmosphere has remained excellent. I can't say enough about the food. They start you with chips and salsa, and I ordered the chicken and steak fajitas. The steak and chicken are cooked to perfection, juicy, and they bring out warm tortillas wrapped in foil, sides of rice, pico, cheese, lettuce, and sour cream, as well as a healthy portion of fajita peppers. Food was absolutely delicious. Service was great, atmosphere was not loud or crowded, very comfortable for a lunch or dinner. Will definitely visit again next time I'm in the area!

The food is not authentic Mexican!!! I wouldn’t even call it Tex mex. The menu is very small. The food doesn’t taste great, and what I got wasn’t as described on the menu. I ordered the smothered chicken, and they brought it out with no cheese. When I asked they seemed clueless, and I had to tell them to just bring a side of cheese. My husband had tamales and they were okay.Kid-friendliness: They had crayons and a color sheet

The food is so whitewashed, this restaurant has no authenticity. The food is bland. The service was ok but they were very understaffed not a lot of people were at the restaurant ,but the food took an hour and thirty minutes to come to our table to just be flavorless that is absurd I don't think I will be coming here again. The staff is mean too it looked like they were having a bad day, as the waiter was putting my drink on the table she spilt it all over me, and ruined my dress. The Ambiance is very nice, but the music sounds like screamo music which doesn't really match the type of restaurant it is supposed to be "Mexican". And the bathroom smells like shit and piss and made me have a headache and almost throw up. If you don't really like your authentic Mexican food this is the place to go,but if you like flavor like me this is definitely not your cup of tea.

Late lunch at Sombra today with my little fam - and wow have things gone downhill here (while the prices have gone way, way up.) Sombra used to be a solid choice for people pleasing Tex Mex in the metro area, but not anymore. First off, the place is dirty, and has an overwhelming smell of fabulosa and rancid grease. The chips were room temp crumbles and you would do 1000 times better with jarred salsa from the chip aisle at Kroger than the glumpy old flavorless salsa we were served. The steak quesadillas tasted like leftovers from last week and were inedible , the tortilla soup was room temp and the burger was ho hum at best. The service was just ok. The bill had those courtesy pre calculated tips on the bottom based on the taxed total, not the pretax total which I feel is bad form and a smidge dishonest. Maybe Sombra needs new management - or maybe even one of those reality shows could come in and overhaul the whole operation.

Sat in the bar area, and our food order took forever to get to the table, and when we got it, it was wrong. My boyfriend and I both ordered the same (beef chimichanga) and they brought 1 beef and 1 refried bean, and it was awful. The waitress had zero personality, no eye contact and no where to be found when we needed her…. She kept disappearing. For the service, food and the price, it was very disappointing.
