We swung by this spot on our way out of town because it had been calling my name on Yelp, and it sure didn't let us down! The fried chicken was among the best I've ever tasted - perfectly spicy and oh-so-crunchy, just how you'd want it. The sides didn't disappoint either; we went for the fried pickles (heavenly!), mac and cheese, and fries. Regrettably, I didn't snap a photo of our feast, but trust me, it was spectacular. And the staff? Simply wonderful. Their smiles and helpfulness really made us feel right at home.

Great fried chicken but it was a little too spicy for me except when I cannot resist it. I love spicy food, it just doesn't always sit good on my stomach. Sometimes I throw caution to the wind and just dive in. Their sides are also good but the spicy chicken is the best!

We're new to the city and decided to try this place out. We weren't disappointed! The chicken is seasoned to perfection with just a little kick to it, I love a little spiciness and it wasn't overwhelming. The macaroni and cheese will make you slap your mama! The fried okra will make you shout hallelujah ??. We will definitely be back for More. Gus gave a fantastic representation of the quality of food available in Southaven! Better than Popeyes any day!
I didn't realize that the chicken was all hot and spicy before we went in to order. It was still pretty good, but would have liked just some regular Fried Chicken. The staff was great and it's a fun little restaurant. The baked beans and the fried okra were great! The chicken tenders were a little less spicy but still had a kick to them. The sweet potato and pecan pie were great. The fries were a little disappointing, not crisp.
