“This is hands down my favorite coffee shop around. Awesome service every time. The coffee is very high quality and the staff work hard to make sure of that! My favorite coffee is a vanilla & caramel iced latte or their signature cold brew with simple syrup and milk. The raspberry muffin is my favorite baked good item- it’s heavenly ?“
“First time try got the deli. Got a club sandwich Togo and although the online menu stated all sandwiches come with a pickle spear and a celery stick, there is no pickle and celery stick in my bag. Slightly disappointed but the sandwich was good. The price came out to be $12 just for the sandwich.“
“Classic diner, overflowing with nostalgia, local pride, and people waiting (I did visit on a football gameday morning). Nice experience. I would bet the people at the tables next to me had been coming there for many decades. The "duck butter" syrup was a fun quirk.“
“Been wanting to try this for a couple of years. With it always being crowded and my vegetarian daughter having limited options, I finally was able to convince my son to go on Friday after the egg bowl. After a longer than expected wait, we ordered almost as soon as we sat down and the food arrived timely.I chose the Waffle Platter with Scrambled Eggs, Grits & Sausage. The waffle and sausage would have been plenty. I can see why they are known for their Duck Butter Syrup. It is definitely better than your typical maple syrup. The sausage was really good too! Eggs & grits were ok but I couldn't finish them.Service was typical of any local cafe, no frills but fast.I can see why there seems to always be a line out the door!“
“We were there on Sunday around 12 for brunch. Although it was written that brunch is served until 1:30, upon arrival we were being informed that they serve the brunch until 11/ 11:30!! So we had the choice from ‘lunch menu’. I got a plate of hamburger steak. They had a few options from the sides - I got myself some turnip greens and sweet potato casserole. The hamburger steak was pretty decent, and the green erre usual. Sweet potato casserole was pretty ordinary, and the corn bread muffin was perfectly baked and nice. The coffee they serve was basic, and they keep refilling. Overall a nice place, although the service was very slow. The place was quite crowded too. Overall, a decent place for Sunday brunch.“
“I cannot say enough good things about Kirk's goodies. My husband and I lost over 100 lbs last year by doing keto. Having these treats has made it even easier to stay on track. Kirk is wonderful as well. I order cookies and or pound cake loaves every couple of weeks. I forgot to mention we live in Virginia and have our treats shipped. Thank you, Kirk!! ❤️Dietary restrictions: I eat very carbs.“
