This location recently changed their recipes & ingredients. The bread is much smaller than last time I was here, and tastes like it's from Walmart. The amount of meat on each sandwich appears to be reduced. Two medium sandwiches plus a kids meal cost me $40, and all three of us were still hungry after we finished.On top of that, their payment station gave me a prompt "recommending" a 20 - 25% tip... For what? I order at a counter, I have to pick up my own food, and I have to clean my own table... Who are you recommending I tip, and why?

This establishment advertises gluten-free bread for their sandwiches. However, when attempting to order delivery via DoorDash, I'm unable to select the gluten-free option for bread. Despite informing the manager, they claim there's nothing they can do. It's unfortunate that due to a technical issue with their delivery system, I'm unable to continue ordering from them. It's disappointing to lose a customer in this manner.

My wife and I sat down to eat on a Sunday morning at this location. A homeless man walked in and circled us like a vulture 4 times while talking to himself. My wife felt extremely uncomfortable and it completely ruined our experience as we rushed to get out of the store with him still watching us. As we left he followed right behind. The 4 workers inside did not ask him to leave they just watched as their customers were stalked trying to eat their food. We won’t be going back.

They have one of the best philly cheese stks in Starkville because they toast the bread. And this is coming from someone who has tried just about every philly in town. Make sure to ask for it extra toasted tho. Was searching high and low for a good philly and this place has my heart.

We really enjoyed it. One of the best I've ever been to.
Excellent service. Very friendly staff. Food was great!! Cleanest Firehouse I've ever seen. Manager was top notch!!!

Our cashier seemed to be the grumpiest person. She was unable to pay attention and needed each person in our party of four to repeat their order multiple times as she would zone out staring then go oh say that again. Then all of a sudden when someone in our group would not repeat themselves anymore she got mad and walked away had another person take the rest of our order with no explanation, apology or excuse. The owner or manager was sitting there playing on his computer the whole time and never checked in on us pr his frustrated employee. Our order was of course wrong and had to be fixed and they were mad and tried to say it was our fault even though it was correct on the receipt. Owner or manager still did not feel the need to check in on anyone and still played on his computer. At the end of our meal 3 older men who were also customers started making comments about how a different customer was dressed saying “she was asking for it” or he would like to spank that a** and teach her who is daddy. All of this loud enough other tables including ours were turned around looking at these rapey men. They tried to get us involved in their conversation to agree with them. We told them very loudly how uncomfortable we were and that we did not agree with their rapey sexist comments and how disgusting they were. Owner/manager still sitting on his computer ignoring his store. Do not go here for your own safety!!!!

By far the worst service I have ever had. The last time I went in there wasn’t anyone else in there and I stood in line for 5 mins without anyone coming over to take my order.I decided to give them another try tonight. Well I came in a few mins before 8. They said they close at 9 but they were already starting to clean up. The lady at the counter ignored me before I asked if they were closing easily. At that point she looked at me like I had a third eye on my head. She then stated we open. At that point I had ti ASK her can I order. She took my order then I waited over 20 mins for them to make my sandwich. I was the only person in the store. The other table left. As I was walking around after sitting for 18 mins I went to see if they were even going to make my sandwich. At this point Nisha had a attitude with me and said I can stand over here that they was finishing up my sandwich. As I got it she started talking to her co workers rudely about me on how I was just standing around watching her. As I asked her what she said she stated I was taking to my co workers not you. But I stated that you were talking about me. She went on to talk about me again when I was walking out the door in which she replied her manager will be in tomorrow at 1030. Ms ward.I hope she brings that same energy in makingSandwiches as she does in being very unprofessional and rude.Will never recommend or eat at this firehouse again.They Used to be good.

Food is pretty standard for Firehouse, not great, not horrible. The reason for the one star is simply the service. It's incredibly poor, and most every employee has attitude. Took 30 mins to get a sandwich which is entirely too long regardless of how busy it is. Especially seeing that there are 5 people behind the counter. Save your money, make your sandwich at home, and have a peaceful meal without having to deal with the bad attitudes.

Being a ex-firefighter, I really appreciate what these guys stand for and to top it off, the subs are the best! It’s the Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket for me. Consistently delicious and today’s was no different. The staff is always courteous and professional. Great job guys!!
