Tasty food at a pleasant and clean location with helpful, kind, and polite staff. Good prices for good food.

This used to be one of our favorite restaurants in Starkville, but the last two times we’ve been there the service has been poor (like not enough people on staff) and the servings have been kinda skimpy. Food still tasted great. We’ll give it one more try before we scratch it off our list.

I've tried most of the other Mexican places in Starkville and La Terraza is my go to. Great service, good value for the money and best chips in town

I came in on my graduation day from MSU. My family and I all went there to eat. Upon my family receiving their food, my sister had a baked potato that was burned and had black pieces of potato in her food. When we asked the waiter if she could receive another potato, the managers came over and said they won’t replace her food or even take it off of our ticket. My sister had not eaten ANY of the food. As we get ready to leave, the older lady who’s a manger (that barely speaks English) got in my sisters face for NO reason and told her, “we’re not going to replace your food just because you don’t like it!” I had never been soooo embarrassed and ashamed in my entire life. My family had driven over 3 hours to attend my graduation after losing my father and my grandmother…. To be a black family disrespected by the managers and service we received while trying to be civil about the situation, THEY WILL NEVER HAVE MY MONEY AGAIN! My friends haven’t even went back after I told them what happened. They get NO STARS from me! Let it be known that La Terraza is a very racist restaurant. Don’t ever go there to eat if you’re in Starkville. We have 15 other Mexican restaurants here, if they’re all packed, go to Mi Toro in Columbus!!

This restaurant has the best Mexican food I have ever had. I got shrimp tacos the shrimp were cooked perfect not over cooked. Also the rice and beans were awsome. It was so good I will be back and with my friends and family.

The internet on my phone wasn't working properly so I could scan the qr code to be able to see the menu. The severer offered to get us a real menu, but kept forgetting to bring it. When we finally got the qr code to work we were able to order. The food was served very quickly and the prices were good. The food was bland, not bad but not good. The restaurant was busy, sure it was because of there drink specials and cheap prices.

Absolutely delicious place, would recommend to anyone in the starkville area. Their menu is very wide and has many options for people of all diets, I myself always order something off the chicken menu but that's just me. Anything they offer is equally delicious and for what you get it is very affordable.

Our food came out cold. The waiter acknowledged the food came out cold and overcooked, took the food back to the kitchen and heated it rather than fixing it again. Refused to replace it, swap it out or credit the bill. Nice establishment but the customer service and hospitality was extremely poor.

I've been here several times now & yesterday was the absolute last time for me. There was 3 of us eating, we ordered off of the lunch menu for 2 of us & the other ordered soft tacos. The total came out to be $51. There was also a convenience fee on ticket. I know prices have gone up but geez come on now. How in the world do restaurants plan to stay open with this type of cost. Will. NOT be back, there are plenty of other Mexican places to eat in Starkville.

So the food here was decent compared to other Mexican places around here, still not THAT GOOD of food though, it's just the customer service and drinks were horrible. I ordered a regular margarita and was disappointed that it was premade out of a bottle crap, tasted horrible, so I asked if they could make a margarita from scratch. Did not realize that would cause so much confusion, as instead the manager got me a skinny margarita (which I would not have ordered or agreed to if I had known) which was probably the worst drink I ever drank in my life and it cost over twice as just a regular margarita, when I just wanted a regular margarita. The manager was so condescending and rude, and in the end I didn't even want to deal with her anymore. She shouldn't be working in the service industry if she has zero skills. Our service was okay, the woman who served us seemed like she wasn't properly trained. She was confused about a lot of things and didn't know the answer to any questions. Which I think also speaks towards how horrible the manager is. The food was OK, but it was so little for how much we paid for it. I got a hard shell taco and there was barely any meat in it. The person I was with ordered an enchilada and I ordered a flauta and they were literally the same thing, I guess they don't know the difference between the two? There were no spices cooked with the meat or anything as well, which isn't typical of Mexican food. The meat tasted like it was just simmered in a tomato sauce? So no spices, no flavor. I wouldn't return even if someone paid me too. Stay away from this place, unless you're looking for horrible drinks and even worst service.

Very nice Mexican restaurant. Javier is an outstanding waiter. Had a great time with awesome food that was incredibly quickly ready. If you’re overwhelmed by the choice: Super Quesadillas is what I would recommend.

We go here all the time. This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in town. If your like me and love thin chips then this place is for you. I always read reviews when traveling and try to find the “thin chip” review…. We have had the California burritos, burrito Mexicano, all the fajitas, quesadillas, all were great. Husbands go to is always the burritos. I do have to admit though last time we went the salsa was a little bland, hoping tonight when we get a Togo order that it was just a bad day and not something they have changed.
