Food is a great alternative to Umi's. Quality is the same as Umi's. Definitely smaller and quieter. Ordering something like the fried rice, you get so much food that you can make two to three meals off of for one person or is easily shared with two people.Vegetarian options: When I was on a non-meat diet, I would often get the vegetable yakimesi.
If this is the best Japanese food in Starkville then just dont have Japanese food in Starkville at all. Maybe you like yum yum sauce... plenty available! This is the kinda place that will make you look forward to a continental breakfast at a cheap hotel. Im banging on this place but, that's part of what i do as a local guide. Its rare, but the steak isn't rare at this place. Looks like they only know one to skin their cats. @#shavethephishtoo.

Came here for the first time last week. Food was excellent and prices were decent. I think I liked it more than Umi's. Menu is a bit limited. Service was swift and courteous.Vegetarian options: Veggie habachi was excellent. Cucumber roll was freshly made and very good

My sister ordered shrimp lo mein from here and the noodles tasted like play dough. The shrimp was bland. Even though I ordered shrimp hibachi I received chicken hibachi. The chicken tasted what I think dog food would taste like. We also ordered the salmon & Philadelphia roll which was better than the other food but still not good. We spent $52 on this and had to throw it away. I had high hopes for this place but was totally let down.

I hadn't eaten here in 10 years, but I was grabbing sushi from there for someone, decided to finally try it again, see if it changed. I got the chicken lo mein. While technically "edible" in so much as it could be digested into nutrients and wasn't toxic, I hesitate to call it "food". Spaghetti noodles, dry chunks of chicken breast, a few bits of carrot, and an overwhelming smell of sesame oil. Gross. My friend loves their sushi though. So maybe stick to that. The service was fantastic however, and the cashier was very nice.
The restaurant is clean. The seating is not good but does have lots of room at the seat. The restaurant is very small. The sushi rolls are very good. I dont like their soup or their salad. I will add more later as I eat their more.

It's better not to eat here, the kitchen is not very dirty, people don't work culturally here

Very bad experience with the young lady at cashier on April 24, 2023. She had a bad attitude and know kind of compassion for consumer. Food good but I don't think I will going back soon.Parking: Parking is fine.

We ordered the chicken fried rice and the steak lo mein with a sushi combo. The portion size was amazing to some of the other contemporary places in Starkville. The food tasted great, I do wish that there was more veggies in both of the entrees but that is a personal opinion. The price was great for what we ordered, the portions were great and the service was fast as it only took 15 mins from ordering to getting our order.Definitely a place we are going to more often, worth a try.
