“I love Newks because the food is great, tasty, and quite different from anything you get elsewhere. The service is always friendly and efficient. There is no ridiculously loud music playing. You can actually carry on conversation while you eat, unlike dining at Peppers which I find painful.“
“Went for Valentine's Day dinner with my wife. This was the best dining experience we have had in Starkville in the 10 years we have lived here. Atmosphere was great and the off menu short rib special was outstanding. Our waitress did a great job as well. Will go next year if possible.“

“My fourth place to eat since I started my contract job at Ackerman. I have to say the Cajun pasta platter was outstanding. Service was excellent, the young lady was very attentive. My Manhattan was also totally outstanding only place that compares Silver Beach Pizza in St. Joseph MI. If I had two someone would have to drive me back to my hotel. After I complete my list this is right now the first choice as my go to place while I am still working on Mississippi.“
“If you are looking for an excellent fried chicken place of the at least five or six we have in Starkville, this is the best. I was skeptical at first as I had been food poisoned by a different Zaxbys in the past. But this one blew me away. Have always ordered the Big Zax Snack and it never disappoints. Sprite is always fizzy and sweet, is never out at the drink machine, overall a great place. Garlic bread is perfect every time, the seasoning on the fries reminds me of some good memories, and the chicken is ALWAYS juicy. Couldn't ask for a better place to go grab something for the road or for movie time at the house. Staff is willing to converse and is always polite and friendly. 10 stars.“
“I ordered the fried Oreos and loved them. I like that Blutos also has a jukebox, so you get to listen to a wide range of music while dining in too! I can also say I’ve tried their breakfast, and it might be the best place to get breakfast in Starkville.“
“Perfect place to stop for some delicious BBQ in Starkville. We enjoyed pulled pork, chopped brisket and three sides. Sides were collard greens, jalapeño slaw and some of the best beans I’ve ever had. Picking only 3 sides was hard - took leftovers home! Atmosphere was quintessential BBQ chic. Lots of beer on ice to great you as you enter. Very friendly and helpful staff. Well worth the stop - and even worth a detour!“
